Vitor Pereira’s Wolves are going to be taking on a Fulham side who are currently led by their Portuguese Head Coach Marco Silva at the iconic and historic Molineux Stadium during the 2025/26 Premier League season.
A victory in this particular game for the Old Gold would see them earn some fresh momentum going into the last game of the season against Burnley, where they will be hoping to fulfil their ambitions for a midtable place whilst they will hope to have the opportunity to potentially push for a top half place in the league following the action on the final day, and a win here in the last home game against Fulham would take them a step closer to doing so.
The current Head Coach of Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club is, of course, the aforementioned Vitor Pereira, who has been in charge of the West Midlands Club ever since his appointment by the club was officially confirmed back on Thursday 19th December 2024. Pereira is the successor to his English counterpart, Gary O’Neil, in the Molineux dugout.
Pereira’s first few months in charge of the Old Gold saw him tasked with keeping his side in the Premier League before then putting some distance between Wolves and the relegation zone by the time the 2024/25 season came to a close. They were successful, with them finishing in 16th place with as many as 42 points to their name after all 38 had been played. There was also a 17 point gap between them and the bottom three in the end.
The much-anticipated 2025/26 Premier League campaign will be Head Coach Vitor Pereira’s first full season in charge of Wolves.
Throughout the Portuguese’s time at the club so far, Pereira has led his Wolves side to many memorable results, one of which was against their North London counterparts Spurs, who they were able to beat 4 – 2 in the end in this home game at the historic Molineux Stadium. The goal scorers for the Old Gold were through the likes of Rayan Ait-Nouri (2’), Jorgen Strand Larsen (64’), and Matheus Cunha (86’). There was also an own goal from Tottenham defender Djed Spence in the latter stages of the first half, coming just before the whistle went for half time (38’).
The goal scorers for the visitors, Tottenham Hotspur, on that day were their forwards Mathys Tel (59’) and Richarlison (85’), with both scoring their goals against their hosts in the second half of the game.
Moving on to Fulham, their Portuguese Head Coach has been in charge of the West London Club ever since his appointment was confirmed by the club back on Thursday 1st July 2021. He replaced his English counterpart Scott Parker in the Craven Cottage dugout following the arrival of the former Hull City and Everton boss.
The first season under Silva’s stewardship for the Cottagers was the 2021/22 EFL Championship campaign, which saw them secure a return to the highly coveted Premier League, doing so automatically after successfully winning the title by finishing in top spot in the English Second Tier. This came after they had managed to earn a grand total of no less than 90 points from their 46 matches in the league in all, with them also scoring an astonishing 106 goals as well, which was, of course, by far the most of any other club in the league in that particular season.
Then, last season, Marco Silva and his Fulham side were certainly among the clubs battling for a place in the top seven, which would secure European Football ahead of the start of the 2025/26 season. In the end, they had to miss out on a place in Europe for this season when they had to settle for an 11th-place finish with 54 points in the end. They were 11 points adrift of the top seven in the end.
The last time Wolves were victorious against Fulham was in their first clash of last season (2024/25) on Saturday, 23rd November 2024 at Craven Cottage, where the Old Gold were ruthless and emphatic 4 – 1 winners in North London against the Cottagers. On that day, the visitors Wolves were able to score their goals through the likes of Matheus Cunha (31’, 87’), Joao Gomes (53’), and Goncalo Guedes (90+5’).
Overall, Wolves and Fulham have met competitively in all competitions on at least 100 occasions, and it is the Old Gold who currently hold the superior record, with as many as 47 victories in this fixture compared to Fulham’s 28 against their West Midlands counterparts so far. There have also been 25 draws between these two teams to date, as of the time of writing.
