Scottish Open 2026 Hospitality – Thistle Club Package – The Renaissance Club
For those looking to experience the Scottish Open in style, the Thistle Club delivers a premium hospitality offering that places you right at the centre of the action. With exclusive access to a private internal suite and terrace overlooking the famous 15th green at The Renaissance Club, guests are treated to some of the most sought-after views on the course. The setting offers a perfect blend of atmosphere and comfort, allowing you to soak up the drama as the world’s best golfers navigate one of the tournament’s hardest stretches.
Beyond the vantage point, the Thistle Club ensures a seamless and indulgent day from start to finish. Guests can enjoy a high-quality food experience with breakfast and lunch served via a selection of local street-food vendors, alongside a complimentary bar offering wine, beer and soft drinks throughout the day. Added touches such as reserved parking, buggy transport around the course, and access to private restroom facilities elevate the experience further, making it a standout choice for those wanting both luxury and convenience at Scotland’s flagship golf event.
Attracting a world-class field each year, the Genesis Scottish Open has seen champions such as Justin Rose, Rory McIlroy, Phil Mickelson, and Lee Westwood lift the trophy. In 2026, tens of thousands of spectators will flock to the Tom Doak-designed course, ensuring this iconic tournament remains one of the standout events on the golfing calendar.
This tournament is prestigious and full of history, with England’s Neil Coles winning the first-ever Scottish Open in 1972.
The honour of winning the Scottish Open the most times goes to Welsh golfer Ian Woosnam, who won it a total of 3 times over the course of his career. His first win came by a margin of 7 strokes ahead of Peter Senior in 1987, before winning it again, this time by a margin of 4 strokes 3 years later.
Ian Woosnam’s third and final Scottish Open victory came in 1996, when he beat runner-up Andrew Coltart by 4 strokes at Carnoustie.
Chris Gotterup made history back in the 2025 Scottish Open when he won this tournament for the first time in his career. The American was on top form throughout, although there was plenty of tension and nerves; he managed to claim his win thanks to a 15-under-par score. This was narrowly better than the runners-up, who were Rory McIlroy and Marco Penge, who both settled for second place at 13 under par in the end.
Matt Fitzpatrick and Nicolai Hojgaard came home at 12 under par. It was a very competitive and enthralling tournament; however, the reigning champion, Robert MacIntyre, failed to retain his title.
This was Gotterup’s first-ever win at the Genesis Scottish Open, and he may be defending his title in July 2026. In 2025, the field also included the likes of 2014 Champion Justin Rose, mutli-time PGA Tour Winner Max Homa, 2025 US Open Champion JJ Spaun, the 2025 European Ryder Cup Team Captain Luke Donald, Byeong Hun An, Matt Fitzpatrick, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, 2022 Scottish Open Champion Xander Schauffele, multi time Major Champion Scottie Scheffler, Tommy Fleetwood, Viktor Hovland, Sungjae Im, as well as Ludvig Aberg and Sepp Straka.
The big names taking part did not stop there – Rory McIlroy, the 2025 Champion of The Masters, was also taking part as he looked to add further success at the Renaissance Club following his iconic win at Augusta earlier last year.
In 2025, eight of the world’s top ten players took part, whilst all four of the current Major Winners at the time of the tournament were part of the star-studded field.
The line-up for the 2026 Genesis Scottish Open is set to include the reigning Masters Champion and 2023 Scottish Open winner Rory McIlroy who will be looking to add more silverware to his ever-growing trophy cabinet.
Enjoy an unparalleled summer of golf in 2026 with a unique hospitality experience at the Scottish Open, which is being co-sanctioned by DP World Tour and the PGA Tour once more in its more than 50-year history.
