Champion Chase Day opens the thrilling five-day event with notable races, including the Herald Champion Novice Hurdle and Punchestown Champion Chase. With Punchestown often considered to be the Irish Cheltenham Festival, many of the runners in the Punchestown Champion Chase have also previously run in the Queen Mother Champion Chase. Back in 2013, Sprinter Sacre went on to win both races that year, marking two tremendous victories.
