Zach Bryan: From Navy Soldier to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium Headliner

Zach Bryan’s rise from uploading raw, self-recorded songs to headlining one of Europe’s most iconic venues is one of modern music’s most compelling stories.
In June 2026, the American singer-songwriter will take to the stage at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for two highly anticipated shows, underlining just how far he has come in less than a decade.
Born Zachary Lane Bryan on 2 April 1996 in Okinawa, Japan, he was raised in Oologah, Oklahoma, where he first began writing music at the age of 14. Song writing became a personal outlet, something he carried with him when he enlisted in the United States Navy at 17, following a family tradition.
During his eight years of service, where he rose to the rank of Petty Officer Second Class, Bryan continued to write and record music, often with the help of friends who captured performances on their phones.
It was during this time that his song Heading South went viral, introducing him to a wider audience and establishing him as a word-of-mouth talent to watch. His debut album DeAnn, released in 2019 and dedicated to his late mother, offered an early glimpse into the deeply personal and emotional song writing that would define his career. The album found chart success on the US Americana/Folk and Top Rock charts, setting the foundation for what was to come.
Bryan quickly followed up with Elisabeth in 2020, a 19-track project recorded in a repurposed barn in Washington, further showcasing his stripped-back style. That same year, he released two EPs, Quiet and Heavy Dreams, continuing to build momentum while still serving in the Navy.
After being honourably discharged in 2021 and signing with Warner Records, Bryan’s career accelerated rapidly. His 2022 triple album American Heartbreak became a landmark release, debuting strongly on the US Billboard 200 and delivering his breakout global hit Something in the Orange, which has since surpassed 1.4 billion streams on Spotify.
The following year proved to be a defining one. His self-titled album Zach Bryan, released in August 2023, featured I Remember Everything, a collaboration with Kacey Musgraves that earned him a Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance and secured his first number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
The album also produced multiple charting tracks including Hey Driver, Spotless, East Side of Sorrow, and Tourniquet, further cementing his status as one of the genre’s leading voices. He was then named Billboard’s Top New Artist of 2023.
Bryan continued his upward trajectory with the release of The Great American Bar Scene in July 2024. Featuring collaborations with artists such as Bruce Springsteen, John Mayer, and John Moreland, the album debuted strongly and included standout tracks like Pink Skies, which has become one of his most popular songs to date.
In 2026, Bryan reached another milestone with the release of his sixth studio album, With Heaven on Top. Supported by the singles Plastic Cigarette and Say Why, the album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 with 134,000 album-equivalent units, marking his second chart-topping record.
Across streaming platforms, Bryan’s popularity continues to soar. He attracts close to 25 million monthly listeners on Spotify, with Something in the Orange leading the way with over 1.4 billion streams, followed by I Remember Everything with more than 1.2 billion. Other fan favourites include Heading South, Pink Skies, Oklahoma Smokeshow, and Burn, Burn, Burn, all of which have amassed hundreds of millions of streams.
Known for his powerful live performances, Bryan has already completed several major tours, including The American Heartbreak Tour in 2022, The Burn, Burn, Burn Tour in 2023, and The Quittin’ Time Tour in 2024. Now, he brings that experience to North London, where he is set to perform at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th June 2026, joined by special guests Dijon and Fey Fili.
