NFL London: LA Rams Deep Dive
Ahead of their visit to Wembley in October, we are taking a deeper look into the Los Angeles Rams.
There is not too long to wait for NFL fans around the world to wait until it takes the United Kingdom by storm once again for the annual NFL London Games, and this season, the Los Angeles Rams are one of the six teams to be making the trip.
Whilst in the English Capital, the Rams will be taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars, with both sides looking to come away from this game, which itself will be a great occasion, with the victory. An incredible atmosphere is expected from the thousands of fans that are set to enjoy this game at the iconic Wembley Stadium on Sunday, 19th October.
The LA Rams have some big names in their roster, including Davante Adams. The 32 year old signed just ahead of the start of the current season. And, he, alongside Marvin Harrison Sr, is one of only two players to register a minimum of 950 receptions, 11,000 yards, and 100 touchdowns in the first 11 seasons of his career.
Additionally, amongst currently active players, he ranks fifth overall for career receiving yards with no less than 11,844 to date, only behind the likes of Travis Kelce (12,151), Mike Evans (12,684), DeAndre Hopkins (12,965), and Julio Jones (13,703) as of the time of writing.
Other players to look out for in the Rams’ team includes the likes of Matt Stafford and Puca Nacua.
As of the time of writing, the Los Angeles Rams currently having a tremendous record against the Jaguars, with 5 wins from 6 encounters.
This is not the first time that the LA Rams have made a visit to London, having previously taken part in regular season matches here, having done so on three previous occasions. The first was back on 23rd October 2016, where they were beaten 17 – 10 by the New York Giants at Twickenham.
They then returned a year later for a 0 – 33 win against the Arizona Cardinals at the same venue in October 2017. It was back on 27th October 2019 that the Rams last came to the UK, and it was for another victory, this time beating the Cincinnati Bengals 10 – 24 at Wembley Stadium.
Not only do they have 2 wins from 3 in London so far, but the Los Angeles Rams are no strangers to silverware, having won the Super Bowl on two occasions. They last did so in Super Bowl LVI back in February 2022, where they were able to emerge as 23 – 20 winners against the aforementioned Cincinnati Bengals at the SoFi Stadium in California. They were led to this win by their current Head Coach, Sean McVay.
Their maiden Super Bowl triumph came back in 2000, where they came up against the Tennessee Titans at the Georgia Dome. At the time, they were known as the St. Louis Rams, and they beat the Titans 23 – 16 under the stewardship of then Head Coach Dick Vermeil.
According to the odds offered by ESPN, the LA Rams do look like they have a good chance of potentially winning Super Bowl LX on Sunday, 8th February 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
One particularly interesting fact about the Rams is that, to date, they are the only franchise in the history of the NFL to have ever won championships in three different cities, having done so in Cleveland (1945), St. Louis (1999), and Los Angeles (1951, 2022).
Excitement is building ahead the NFL action returning to London, with the LA Rams set to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars at the iconic and historic Wembley Stadium on Sunday 19th October 2025.
