NFL London: Los Angeles Rams vs Jacksonville Jaguars Preview
Following the enthralling actionThe NFL is set to return to the iconic and historic Wembley Stadium, with the Los Angeles Rams and the Jacksonville Jaguars set to go head to head for victory in this regular season contest at the heart of London.
Following two enthralling games across the city at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, NFL regular season action will once again take London by storm this weekend, this time at the iconic and historic Wembley Stadium, where the Los Angeles Rams and the Jacksonville Jaguars will be going head-to-head for the win.
Sean McVay’s LA Rams and Liam Coen’s Jaguars will be facing each other in their latest NFL encounter on the afternoon of Sunday, 19th October 2025, with a victory for either side crucial for both sides as they look to realise their respective ambitions come the end of the campaign.
In the previous games in London this year, the first of them was a contest between the Cleveland Browns and the Minnesota Vikings, which in the end saw the former emerge victorious after the Vikings ended up with a 21 – 17 scoreline by the time that the game had come to a close.
A week later, the Denver Broncos edged out the New York Jets 13 – 11 in the second fixture in the English capital, relying on strong defensive play to secure a tense win.
Now, we are going to focus on the next NFL London contest, which will feature the aforementioned Los Angeles Rams and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Starting with the Rams, their most recent game in the NFL Regular Season saw them go toe to toe with the Baltimore Ravens at the M&T Bank Stadium back on Sunday, 12th October. It was a deserved 17 – 3 victory in the end for the LA Rams, who now have four triumphs to their name to date.
Some of the standout players in this game for the Rams included the likes of Nate Landman, Quentin Lake, and Kyren Williams. Starting with Landman, the 26-year-old linebacker was able to make an incredible total of no less than 17 tackles in total in the game, a new record for the franchise.
As for Lake, the Rams’ safety was key in shifting momentum to help his team’s defence, whilst also getting a first career interception as well as a fumble recovery. Finally, Williams scored the only rushing touchdown for the Rams, whilst also getting a combined 87 yards in total – 50 of these were rushing, whilst the remaining 37 were receiving plays.
Tyler Higbee and Matthew Stafford also had great games, with Higbee scoring a receiving touchdown following an 8-yard pass into him from Stafford, who himself completed 17 of his 26 passes, while also gaining 181 yards, whilst also scoring a touchdown to boot in the game.
This result leaves them in 3rd place in the NFC West, though they have the same number of wins and defeats as the two teams above them, which are the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks. The Rams will know that they have the chance to move to the summit of the NFC West table with a victory against the Jaguars this weekend.
Moving on to the Jacksonville Jaguars, their last contest in the regular season in the NFL saw them take on the Seahawks on 12th October at the EverBank Stadium. It was the Seattle Seahawks who ended up coming out on top in this contest, in what was a 20 – 12 triumph in this game.
Despite being defeated in this game, some players still stood out for Jacksonville, which included the likes of Trevor Lawrence, Brian Thomas Jr, and Montaric Brown.
Starting with Lawrence, he had a number of positive moments, keeping his side in the game on several occasions whilst handling pressure well. He threw two touchdown passes for his teammates as well.
Meanwhile, the aforementioned Brian Thomas Jr was a very dependable option for a pass during the play for his team, whilst he was also the scorer of an early 21-yard touchdown for his team as well. Montaric Brown managed to break up several passes and was solid and reliable throughout.
This defeat for the Jags sees them occupying second place in the AFC South, with only the Indianapolis Colts sitting above them in the standings, whilst the Houston Texans and the Tennessee Titans are below them as things stand.
The Jacksonville Jaguars know that a win is important, and they could potentially leapfrog the aforementioned Indianapolis Colts with a win if the Colts’ result goes their way as well.
Let’s now move on to the team news for both the Los Angeles Rams and the Jacksonville Jaguars ahead of this game under the arch at the iconic Wembley Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Starting with the side from Los Angeles, there are doubts as to whether Puka Nacua will be involved in this game for the Rams after he came off with an ankle injury against Baltimore.
If he doesn’t feature, it would be a big miss for the team. Davante Adams would be a natural replacement for him if needs be, and his performance alongside Matthew Stafford would be crucial for any potential victory.
Moving on to the Jaguars, they have doubts about the involvement in this game for several players. Robert Hainsey’s involvement in practice has been limited due to his recent hamstring injury, whilst Wide Receiver Dyami Brown has had a shoulder issue.
Eric Murray may not be involved following his own injury, which was to his neck, whilst Devin Lloyd was not amongst the travelling party to London due to his calf issue. Teammate and rookie Travis Hunter is a player for fans to look out for in the game against the LA Rams this weekend.
Quintin Morris is definitely ruled out with a groin problem, whilst there is potential for Travon Walker to be involved despite a wrist injury, which he did play with in their previous game.
The last time that the Los Angeles Rams and the Jacksonville Jaguars came face to face in an NFL Regular Season encounter was back in December 2021 in what was an emphatic and deserved 7 – 37 win for the former.
Excitement is building ahead the more enthralling NFL regular season action in London, with the Los Angeles Rams and the Jacksonville Jaguars set to go head to head for what would be a crucial victory for both sides at the iconic Wembley Stadium on Sunday 19th October 2025.
