NFL London: New York Jets Deep Dive
Ahead of their trip to London this October, we will be taking a deper look into the New York Jets ahead of their game against the Denver Broncos at the iconic Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The NFL London Games return to the English capital this October, with six teams crossing the Atlantic for regular season matches. The New York Jets will be among them, aiming to return home with a win.
Aaron Glenn’s New York Jets team is set to go head-to-head with a Denver Broncos side who are currently led by Head Coach Sean Payton at the iconic Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which is located in the heart of North London on the afternoon of Sunday, 12th October 2025.
One player in particular for you to look out for the Jets is Quarterback Justin Fields. Fields is currently the only player in his position in the entire history of the NFL to have rushed for 3 regular season touchdowns of 50 yards in his career. Also, alongside Kyler Murray, he is one of only two players to have passed for at least one touchdown and run for at least one score in 5 consecutive games in the NFL.
The Broncos currently hold a superior 23-18 head-to-head record over the Jets, with just one tie between the franchises in their history.
Ahead of their latest visit later this year, the New York Jets have played regular season matches in the English Capital on as many as three times, which were back in 2015, 2021, and most recently in 2024.
The Jets were able to get the better of the Miami Dolphins when they first came to the UK for regular season matches, emerging with what was a 27 – 14 win at Wembley back in 2015. This was then followed by another trip to the English Capital six years later, but on this occasion they were defeated by the Atlanta Falcons.
Then in 2024, they went toe to toe with the Minnesota Vikings, being narrowly defeated 17 – 23 in the end. This was a game that took place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which is exactly where they will be playing their regular season game in London in October 2025.
Together with the New Orleans Saints, the New York Jets are one of just two teams to have ever won the Super Bowl on their first and (so far) only appearance in the Super Bowl.
The sole win for the Jets came back in the third-ever Super Bowl, which was played at the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida. It was a 16 – 7 win against the Baltimore Colts (now the Indianapolis Colts) for the Jets on this occasion.
According to the odds offered by ESPN, the New York Jets are one of the underdogs to win the next Super Bowl.
There is still a chance that they could taste glory, with there having been a number of shock winners of the Super Bowl in the past. This includes the Oakland Raiders, who, after making the play-offs as a wildcard, went on to beat the San Diego Chargers (now the LA Chargers) 27 – 10 in Super Bowl XV.
Excitement is building ahead the NFL action returning to London, with the New York Jets set to take on the Denver Broncos at the iconic Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 12th October 2025.
