Scotland v England Hospitality Packages – Guinness Six Nations 2026
Gregor Townsend is set to lead his Scotland team into yet another chapter of their long standing historic rivalry with England at the iconic Murrayfield in the 2026 Guinness Six Nations. This game will be taking place at 16:40 on the afternoon of Saturday 14th February 2026, and the two nations will also be battling for possession of the historic Calcutta Cup.
England are the current holders of the highly prestigious Calcutta Cup following an intense battle that resulted in a very narrow 16 – 15 victory at Twickenham for Steve Borthwick’s side. Townsend and his team will nonetheless the optimistic that they can win back this trophy with victory against their local rivals at the next Six Nations Championship.
Following the departure of previous Head Coach Vern Cotter in 2017, it was the current boss Gregor Townsend who was officially confirmed as Cotter’s official successor in the Scotland hot seat, and he has currently been in charge for almost a decade. It is Townsend who is going to lead his country into the 2026 Guinness Six Nations.
In the most recent Six Nations in 2025, Scotland were able to finish in fourth place after earning a grand total of 11 points from their 5 matches overall – this included two victories for them. Their first win came up against Italy, who they were able to beat comfortably 31 – 19 in Edinburgh at Murrayfield.
Then came their second and final victory of the most recent Championship, where they were able to beat another rival in the form of Wales, again at Murrayfield, with Townsend’s side coming away with a thoroughly deserved and competitive 35 -29 victory in the heart of Edinburgh.
Their defeats came in the form of that aforementioned Calcutta Cup loss against England, whilst they were also beaten 18 – 32 and 35 – 16 to Ireland and Champions France respectively in the end.
Scotland’s most recent victory against England in a competitive fixture took place back in the 2024 Six Nations Championship back on Saturday 24th February 2024, when Townsend and his team were able to once again get their hands on the highly prestigious Calcutta Cup following a tight and competitive 30 – 21 victory for Scotland at the famous and historic Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh.
Scotland were able to show some dominance in this fixture between 2018 and 2024, winning 5, drawing 1 and losing just 1 of their last seven competitive encounters.
We have to rewind all the way back to 27th March 1871 for the first ever competitive encounter between Scotland and England, and it took place as an 1871 Scotland v England International at Raeburn Place in Edinburgh. Scotland were the winners before waiting 6 years to do so again, this time in a 1876/77 Home Nations International back on 5th March 1877, which also took place at the famous Raeburn Place in Edinburgh.
