Ireland have been dealt another significant injury blow ahead of the Nations Championship Southern Series, with captain Caelan Doris and centre Tommy O’Brien both ruled out after picking up knocks in Leinster’s URC final win on Friday.
Andy Farrell has committed his future to Ireland after signing a contract extension with the IRFU until 2031. The 50-year-old, who has guided Ireland to Grand Slam and Six Nations success, will now remain in charge through to the 2031 Rugby World Cup in the United States.
The inaugural Nations Championship will begin with a blockbuster six-Test Super Saturday on 4th July as rugby union’s new global competition brings together the leading nations from the northern and southern hemispheres.
