After a two-year hiatus stemming from coronavirus pandemic-related disruption, racing fans returned to Aintree Racecourse to experience the illustrious Randox Health Grand National Festival.

The Grand National is one of the biggest meetings in the Jumps racing calendar and is watched by approximately 600 million people in over 140 countries worldwide. The showpiece event of the Festival is the Grand National Steeple Chase which is run over 4 miles and 514 yards, with horses required to jump 30 fences over two laps of the circuit.

It’s the ultimate test for horse and jockey, with previous winners of the headline race including:

  • Noble Yeats (2022)
  • Minella Times (2021)
  • Tiger Roll (2018 & 2019)
  • Aldaniti (1981)
  • Red Rum (1973, 1974 & 1977)

With so much at stake for runners and riders, Grand National Festival tickets and hospitality packages are always in high demand. Thousands of racegoers flock to Aintree Racecourse each year to get up close and personal with the racing drama, with the thrills and nail-biting action making for an unforgettable experience.

The 2024 Grand National Festival is expected to be an extraordinary affair after capacity for the 3-day event.

Have you secured your Grand National tickets yet? No? Don’t worry, we have you covered!

To ensure you don’t miss out on Britain’s most spectacular sporting event, we’ve included a breakdown for each day of the Festival to help you decide on the day that is right for you and your guests.

Grand National Opening Day

The Grand National kicks off with Randox Opening Day, also known as Liverpool’s NHS Day to honour frontline workers across the region. Gates open at 11:00AM, with the first race commencing at 1:45PM and the last race getting underway at 5:15PM.

With four Grade 1 races on the card, the opening day of the Grand National Festival sets the tone for the two days to follow. The highlight races of the day are:

  • The Betway Bowl Steeplechase
  • The Randox Foxhunters’ Open Steeplechase

Both seasoned racegoers and newbies to the sport find the first day enjoyable, and as a result, tickets can be pretty hard to come by. Eventmasters provides VIP tickets and hospitality packages for the Tiger Roll Suite and Silks Restaurant, which has been a firm favourite among our clients.

Silks Restaurant is a luxurious track-facing facility with a private balcony offering unrivalled views of Aintree Racecourse. Alongside a gourmet fine dining experience, guests will have the chance to gain insight from our celebrity horse racing ambassador in 2024.

Grand National Ladies Day

Randox Ladies Day marks day two of the Grand National Festival and fashion takes as much prominence as the action on the course.

Although there is no official dress code, Aintree Racecourse embraces individual style, glam and glitz and encourages racegoers to dress in their best attire – even fancy dress is accepted as long as the outfit is not offensive.

Style scouts are on the lookout throughout the day to crown the “best dressed” male and female, with cash prizes of up to £5000 available for winners, among other exciting prizes.

First place winner of the Style Awards received:

  • £5,000 cash
  • £500 Never Fully Dressed voucher
