Mikel Arteta and his Arsenal side are set to take on an Everton team led by their Scottish Head Coach David Moyes at the Emirates Stadium in North London during the 2025/26 Premier League season. A victory here for the Gunners against the Toffees would most certainly boost their chances of winning the title this season. Their Merseyside counterparts will be aiming for a mid-table finish, or perhaps even a place in the top half.

Arsenal and Everton are set to face each other once more at the Emirates Stadium in the 2025/26 Premier League season.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are set to take on a David Moyes-led Everton in the heart of North London at the Emirates Stadium during the 2025/26 Premier League season. The Gunners will be looking to take another step closer to winning the English top flight title once more, whilst the Toffees will be looking at a midtable finish, or even a place in the top half this term.
This will be a game that will bring with it an excellent atmosphere, and victory for the Arsenal would give their chances of becoming Champions of England for the fourteenth time a massive boost, whilst also creating some further momentum going into the remainder of the season.
Following a temporary spell in charge of Arsenal by club favourite Freddie Ljungberg, current boss Mikel Arteta was appointed as the permanent Head Coach of the North London side to officially become the successor to Unai Emery at the club back in October 2019. After a couple of seasons in charge, the club has challenged for the tile on multiple occasions.
In the 2022/23 Premier League campaign, the Gunners finished in second place, after having earned a total of 84 points, with them ending that particular season with a gap of just five points between themselves and that season’s title winners Manchester City who had 89 points to their name in the end.
It was even closer between Arsenal and City back in the 2023/24 season, which saw Arteta’s team finishing in second place as runners-up once more, this time with no less than 89 points to their name, and just 2 points behind the Cityzens overall.
Then last season, Arsenal were able to finish in second place in the Premier League for the third successive season after they earned 74 points from their 38 games last term. The Champions last season were Arne Slot’s Liverpool side.
Moving on to Everton, David Moyes is currently enjoying his second spell in charge of the Toffees, having had a very successful first stint at the Merseyside Club in a spell that lasted 9 years between 2013. Then after spells with the likes of Manchester United, Real Sociedad, Sunderland, and West Ham United (twice), the Scotsman was appointed by Everton to replace Sean Dyche as Manager back on 11th January 2025.
In the second half of the 2024/25 season, Moyes was able to completely turn the fortunes of Everton around, taking them from deep relegation trouble to what was an excellent 13th place finish in the end with a total of 48 points to their name. His first full season since his return (2025/26) will see him lead the club into their new stadium.
Arsenal and Everton have a long history of competitive matches against each other in all competitions over the years, having met on a grand total of no less than 225 times, and it is the Gunners with a superior record of 112 victories to date, as of the time of writing. There have been 65 wins for Everton over the years, whilst there have also been 48 draws overall so far. They drew 1 – 1 in what was their most recent Premier League clash at Goodison Park back on 5th April 2025.
