And, in his first full season in charge of the Clarets, he managed to guide the club to an immediate return to the Premier League via automatic promotion from the Championship after finishing as runners-up in second place with a grand total of no less than 100 points to their name after 46 games. They only missed out on the title on goal difference to Leeds United.
