Manchester City, led by their Spanish Head Coach Pep Guardiola, are set to take on Russell Martin’s newly promoted Southampton at the Etihad Stadium in the 2024/25 Premier League season. Last season, City won the title with a grand total of 91 points, finishing two ahead of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal who finished as the runners-up for the second consecutive year. This means that City has finished with 90 or more points in 4 of the season since he took over back in the 2016/17 campaign.
It was Manuel Pellegrini who Pep succeeded at City, and it was a third place finish and UEFA Champions League Qualification in his maiden campaign at the helm. Overall, the Spaniard is currently the Cityzens’ all time most successful manager with no less than 17 trophies.
These trophies are as follows: 6 Premier League titles (2017/18, 2018/19, 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23 & 2023/24), 2 FA Cups (2018/19 & 2022/23), 4 League Cups (2017/18, 2018/19, 2019/20 & 2020/21), 2 FA Community Shields (2018 & 2019), 1 UEFA Champions League (2022/23), 1 UEFA Super Cup (2023) and 1 FIFA Club World Cup (2023).
Moving on to Southampton, their current Head Coach Russell Martin was appointed back on 21st June 2023 after leaving Swansea for the Saints job, joining them following their relegation from the Premier League the season before.
Martin led the club to an instant return to the top flight after a 1 – 0 win in the EFL Championship Play-Off Final against Leeds United, where it was top scorer Adam Armstrong who scored the winning goal (24’). This followed a 4th place finish with 87 points in their 46 matches.
These two clubs have gone toe to toe in a competitive fixture on a total of 101 occasions, and it is City who have the most wins with 41 compared with the Saints’ total of 33 so far. And, as of the time of writing, there have been 27 draws.

The 2024/25 Premier League season will start on Saturday 17th August 2024, and it will be coming to a close on Sunday 25th May 2025. Changes to fixtures will be updated on Eventmasters’ site in the Fixtures List below.

When do season tickets go on sale for 2024/25 season?
Season tickets are now sold out, and the waiting list is understood to be substantial.
What are Man City season ticket prices for the 2024/25 season?
Prices for Man City season tickets vary by stand.
For the Family Stand, prices range from £540 to £675 for Adults, whilst prices for 18 to 21 year olds range from £350 to £450. As for Under 18s, the prices range from £120 to £150, whilst the range for Over 65s is from £325 to £340. Prices for Disabled fans range from £350 to £450.
In the Colin Bell Stand, prices for Adults will range from £540 to £1,080, whilst for 18 to 21 year olds, it goes from £405 to £725. For Under 18s, the range of prices goes from £190 to £345, whilst it ranges from £350 to £535 for Over 65s. Finally, for Disabled fans, the price will range from £350 to £725.
Moving on to the South Stand. Prices range from £425 to £765 for adults, whilst it ranges from £320 to £525 for 18 to 21 year olds. For Under 18s, the price ranges from £180 to £240. For Over 65s it ranges from £280 to £390. For disabled fans, the prices range from £280 to £525.
Finally, for the East Stand, Adult prices range from £675 to £1,080 whilst for 18 to 21 year olds it goes from £460 to £725. Moving on to Under 18s, their prices range from £220 to £345, whilst for Over 65s, the prices go from £380 to £535. For Disabled Fans, these prices will range from £460 to £725.
There are also 93:20 Premium Seats. Prices for Adults range from £1,425 to £1,600, whilst for 18 to 21 year olds these prices will range from £1,060 to £1,200. For Under 18s, this will range from £720 to £800, and as for Over 65s, their prices are from £1,060 to £1,200. Finally, as for Disabled fans, these prices will be ranging from £1,060 to £1,200.
