Spurs are set to welcome newly promoted Leeds United, currently led by their German Head Coach Daniel Farke, to the iconic Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the heart of North London, during the 2025/26 Premier League season. With the Lilywhites focused solely on finishing as high as possible in the league table this season, a win here would provide a much-needed boost of momentum heading into the final stages of the campaign.

Every Premier League fixture is of great importance for Spurs this season, and this clash with Leeds is no different. Victory would not only help the squad climb the table but also energise the squad and supporters at a time when consistency is paramount. The atmosphere will also be electric at one of the world’s best football stadiums, where elite football is played each and every week.

The 2024/25 season was former Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou’s second and final campaign in charge, and it was a very memorable campaign, with the club winning a major trophy in the form of the 2025 UEFA Europa League title after beating Manchester United 1 – 0 in the Final in Bilbao, Spain at the iconic San Mames Stadium, the home of Athletic Club. The all-important winning goal from Tottenham’s Welsh forward Brennan Johnson, who found the back of the net against the Red Devils in the latter stages of the first half (42’).

Shortly after this, it was announced by the club that Ange Postecoglou had left the club with immediate effect.

Former Brentford boss Thomas Frank was appointed as the Australians’ successor in the dugout at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in North London, with the Dane’s arrival being confirmed by the club back in June 2025.

Unfortunately for the Dane, a poor run of Premier League form saw him dismissed in February 2026, with Tottenham struggling to find consistency in the league.

Igor Tudor was then appointed as interim manager on Saturday, 14th February 2026, bringing experience from his spells at Hajduk Split, Galatasaray, Marseille, Lazio, and Juventus. However, his time at Spurs lasted just 44 days before he, too, was dismissed. The North London club then confirmed Roberto De Zerbi as the new Head Coach on a five-year deal, with the Italian now tasked with steering Spurs through the final stretch of the season and aiming to secure the best possible league finish.

De Zerbi first made his name in England with Brighton & Hove Albion, where he led the club to its highest‑ever Premier League finish of sixth place and historic qualification for the UEFA Europa League. After departing Brighton in 2024, he went on to manage Olympique de Marseille, guiding them to a second‑place finish in Ligue 1 in the 2024/25 season and securing a UEFA Champions League spot, which was one of the club’s strongest league campaigns in recent history.

Moving on to Leeds United, their German Head Coach Daniel Farke has been in charge since succeeding Sam Allardyce on 4th July 2023, following their relegation from the Premier League. In his first campaign, Farke guided Leeds to a 3rd-place finish with 90 points, only narrowly missing out on promotion after a 1–0 defeat to Southampton in the Championship Play-Off Final at Wembley Stadium.

In his first season with the club, Farke guided them to what was a 3rd place finish with 90 points but only missed out on promotion back to the top table of English Football courtesy of a 1 – 0 defeat in the EFL Championship Play-Off Final against Southampton at Wembley Stadium.

The following season, Farke’s side went one better, clinching the EFL Championship title on goal difference ahead of Burnley. Both clubs finished the 46-game season on 100 points, securing Leeds’ immediate return to the Premier League after just one year in the second tier.

The last time Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United met in a competitive fixture was on Saturday, 4th October 2025 at Elland Road, where Spurs won 2-1. Goals from Mathys Tel (23′) and Mohammed Kudus (57′) secured the win for Spurs, whilst the hosts Leeds got their only goal of the game through their Swiss forward Noah Okafor, which came midway through the first half of this game (34′).

Overall, these two clubs have gone head-to-head competitively on a grand total of 104 times in all competitions, and it is Tottenham who has the superior record of 42 wins compared with Leeds’ total of 33 to date as of the time of writing. There have also been 29 draws between these two clubs so far.
