The North London Derby is a fixture famous around the world, and the latest iteration of this fierce and long-standing local rivalry is set to be renewed once more when a Spurs side led by their Croatian Head Coach Igor Tudor go toe to toe with Mikel Arteta and Arsenal. This game will be taking place at the iconic Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the heart of North London during the 2025/26 Premier League season.

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to finish as high as possible in the league this season, and victory here against the Gunners would give them a boost in their bid to do so. Igor Tudor then ensured that Juventus would qualify for the UEFA Champions League in what was his most recent managerial position in senior football. The conclusion of the 2024/25 campaign saw the Old Lady finish in 4th place with 70 points to their name, one point ahead of AS Roma in 5th place.

Moving on to Tottenham’s North London rivals Arsenal, their Head Coach Mikel Arteta has been in charge of the Gunners since his appointment back in October 2022 when he became Unai Emery’s permanent successor at the club.

Arsenal finished as runners-up in second place three seasons in a row between 2022/23 and 2024/25, and they are a club that will be looking to go one step further and get their hands on the Premier League title this season. These seasons saw them finish with 84 points, 89 points, and most recently 74 points.

The Gunners reached the Semi Finals of the Champions League last season, with the highlight being their 5 – 1 aggregate victory over Real Madrid over two legs. They were knocked out at the last four stage by the eventual winners PSG.

Spurs will be looking to emerge victorious and with local bragging rights when they come face to face with their North London rivals Arsenal this season.

Overall, Spurs and Arsenal have faced each other in competitive matches in all competitions on 212 occasions in total over the years, and it is the Gunners who currently have the superior record of 90 wins compared with the Lilywhites’ record of 67 to date.
