What is the dress code for male guests in the VIP Panoramic Restaurant?
Gentlemen can wear a morning dress of black, grey, or navy material, accompanied by a waistcoat, necktie, a black or grey top hat, and black dress shoes worn with socks that cover the ankle. Note that for waistcoats and neckties, patterns of a patriotic nature are allowed.
For Boys aged between 13 and 17, they should wear a suit or jacket with a shirt and tie. Younger boys aged 12 or under should dress smartly, but are not required to wear a jacket or tie.
May I remove my top hat?
Yes, but top hats can only be removed in a restaurant, a private box, an enclosed seating area, a terrace, a balcony, or a garden.
What is the dress code for female guests in the Panoramic Restaurant at Royal Ascot in 2027?
Female guests in the VIP Panoramic Restaurant can wear a dress or a top with a skirt falling just above the knee or longer – lace and chiffon fabrics are permitted, whilst strapless and sheer strap dresses and tops are NOT permitted.
Ladies can also wear a jacket or pashmina (tops and dresses still need to comply with the dress code), as well as a trouser suit of matching material and colour, a jumpsuit that falls below the knee and complies with the shoulder strap requirements (minimum width – 1 inch/2.5cm), whilst hats must also be worn.
Headpieces and hatinators must have a minimum base diameter of 4 inches (10cm).
Additionally, girls aged 17 or under are to be dressed for a formal occasion, with smart summer dresses suggested. Hats, headpieces, and hatinators can be worn but are not compulsory.
