The most successful horse in this event is Aaim to Prosper who has won it twice (2010 & 2012), with Doug Smith being the most successful jockey to ever participate in the Cesarewitch Trial Day. Smith won it on no less than 6 occasions: Canatrice (1939), French Design (1954), Sandiacre (1957), Come to Daddy (1959), Alcove (1960) & Persian Lancer (1966).

Alphonse Le Grande, who won the 2024 event, is the most recent winner of the Cesarewitch Trial Day. The horse was ridden by Jamie Powell.
