Arsenal Complete £34m Signing of Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge

The 24-year-old has signed a long-term contract at the Emirates Stadium after impressing during his spell in Belgium, where he registered an outstanding 43 goals and 45 assists in 108 appearances for Club Brugge.

Tzolis arrives following the departure of Leandro Trossard, who joined Besiktas earlier this month, and adds further attacking depth to Mikel Arteta’s squad as Arsenal continue to strengthen their title-winning side.

Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta believes the Greek international’s versatility and attacking quality will make him a valuable addition.

“Christos naturally operates on the left but is comfortable across the front line,” said Berta.

“He’s an excellent finisher with both feet, thrives in tight spaces, and possesses incredible technical ability.

“Christos has produced outstanding numbers in terms of goals and assists over the last three seasons, and he’s a player who will raise the technical level of our squad, while bringing positive energy, enthusiasm, and a strong mentality to our team.”

Tzolis is no stranger to English football, having previously spent three seasons with Norwich City after joining from Greek side PAOK in 2021. During his time at Carrow Road, he made 30 appearances and scored three goals, while also gaining experience through loan spells at FC Twente and Fortuna Düsseldorf before securing a permanent move to Club Brugge.

His impressive performances in Belgium have now earned him a return to the Premier League, this time with the reigning champions.

Speaking after completing the move, Tzolis revealed discussions with Arteta played an important role in his decision to join Arsenal.

“We talked about everything – about the club, about myself, about his plans, about me of course, about the team,” he said.

“It was only positive things.

“I’m a direct player, I go for goals or assists. That’s my point of view as an attacker, as a winger.

“I’m always hungry to score or to give the final pass to my team-mates. And I can say I work hard for the team, also in the defensive part.”

The move marks another significant addition to Arsenal’s summer recruitment as Arteta continues to build a squad capable of competing on multiple fronts during the 2026/27 campaign. Tzolis’ ability to operate across the forward line, combined with his impressive goalscoring and creative record, offers Arsenal another dynamic attacking option heading into the new season.
