Eight NFL stars to watch in London this October

The NFL London Games return for three consecutive Sundays in October, bringing five teams and some of the league’s biggest names to the capital.

The Indianapolis Colts face the Washington Commanders at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 4th October, before the Philadelphia Eagles meet the Jacksonville Jaguars at the same venue one week later. Jacksonville then remain in the UK to face the Houston Texans at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 18th October.

Across those three games, London crowds will have the chance to see established NFL stars, leading quarterbacks and some of the league’s most exciting young players. Here are eight names to look out for during the 2026 NFL London Games.

Jonathan Taylor – Indianapolis Colts

Jonathan Taylor remains one of the biggest attacking threats in the Indianapolis Colts side and will be a central figure when they open the London schedule against Washington.

The running back rushed for 1,585 yards and 18 touchdowns during the 2025 regular season and has already carried that scoring threat into the new campaign. Through Indianapolis’ opening three games of 2026, Taylor has recorded 258 rushing yards and four touchdowns, including two scores against both the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs.

His combination of power and acceleration makes him capable of changing a game quickly, and the Commanders defence will have to limit Taylor if they are to prevent Indianapolis establishing control on the ground.

Jayden Daniels – Washington Commanders

Jayden Daniels would be one of the headline attractions of the entire London series if he is cleared to feature against Indianapolis.

The 2024 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year has developed into Washington’s franchise quarterback, combining his passing ability with a genuine threat on the ground. He recorded 3,568 passing yards and 891 rushing yards during his rookie regular season and helped Washington reach the NFC Championship Game.

There is uncertainty over whether London will see him in action, however. Daniels dislocated his left elbow against Dallas in Week 2 and subsequently missed Washington’s victory over Seattle. Head coach Dan Quinn confirmed on Monday that Daniels will travel to London and take part in practice in some capacity, but his availability for the Colts game has not yet been confirmed.

Terry McLaurin – Washington Commanders

Regardless of who starts at quarterback, Terry McLaurin gives Washington an established threat in the passing game.

The wide receiver has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in five different NFL seasons and enters London after his best performance of the current campaign. McLaurin caught six passes for 77 yards against Seattle on Sunday, including a 30-yard touchdown from Marcus Mariota as the Commanders secured their first victory of the season.

McLaurin has been one of the constants in Washington’s offence throughout his NFL career. His route running and ability to make catches downfield should make his individual battle with the Indianapolis secondary one of the areas to follow at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Jalen Hurts – Philadelphia Eagles

Jalen Hurts will bring one of the NFL’s most recognisable quarterback games to London when Philadelphia face Jacksonville on 11th October.

Hurts remains capable of hurting opponents through the air and on the ground. He threw five touchdown passes across Philadelphia’s opening two victories of the season, while also continuing to play a significant role as a runner in short-yardage situations.

Philadelphia suffered their first defeat of the campaign against Chicago on Monday night, when Hurts completed 16 of 25 passes for 153 yards and was intercepted once. He also scored the Eagles’ only touchdown on a one-yard quarterback sneak, illustrating the additional dimension he gives the Philadelphia offence.

Saquon Barkley – Philadelphia Eagles

Alongside Hurts in the Eagles backfield will be Saquon Barkley, another of the biggest names travelling to London this year.

Barkley produced one of the outstanding individual seasons of recent years after joining Philadelphia in 2024, becoming only the ninth player in NFL history to rush for 2,000 yards in a regular season and winning Offensive Player of the Year as the Eagles went on to win the Super Bowl.

His 2026 campaign has started more quietly, although there were signs against Chicago that he remains capable of breaking open a defence. Barkley finished Monday’s game with 82 yards from 15 carries, including runs of 17 and 14 yards.

Trevor Lawrence – Jacksonville Jaguars

No team will spend more time in London this October than the Jacksonville Jaguars, and quarterback Trevor Lawrence arrives in strong early-season form.

Lawrence has thrown for 616 yards, seven touchdowns and just two interceptions through Jacksonville’s opening three games. Four touchdown passes came in the opening win against Cleveland before he added another three in Sunday’s emphatic 35-6 victory over the defending AFC champion New England Patriots.

Jacksonville will face two very different challenges against Philadelphia and Houston, but Lawrence will be at the centre of their attack in both games. With the Jaguars currently 2-1, his performances have helped give them an encouraging platform ahead of their two-week stay in London.

Travis Hunter – Jacksonville Jaguars

Travis Hunter offers something unique among the players heading to London.

The second overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft has continued to contribute on both sides of the ball for Jacksonville, although much of his work early in the 2026 season has come at cornerback. Hunter played 66 defensive snaps across the Jaguars’ first two games while continuing to feature selectively at wide receiver.

His defensive development produced a major moment against New England when he intercepted Drake Maye in the end zone for the first interception of his NFL career.

With Jacksonville playing in both of the final two London fixtures, British fans could have two opportunities to see one of the league’s most versatile young talents.

C.J. Stroud – Houston Texans

Houston may have started the season 0-3, but C.J. Stroud remains one of the players capable of taking over the final London game at Wembley Stadium.

The Texans quarterback has thrown for 794 yards through three matches, with three touchdown passes and no interceptions. He produced 353 passing yards against Cincinnati in Week 2 before completing 16 of 27 attempts for 167 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s narrow 19-17 defeat against Indianapolis.

Stroud established himself as one of the NFL’s leading young quarterbacks during his rookie campaign in 2023, when he passed for 4,108 yards and 23 touchdowns. Houston’s start to 2026 has increased the pressure on their offence, but Stroud’s passing ability ensures the Texans will bring another major quarterback attraction to London when they meet Jacksonville on 18th October.
