NFL London: Jacksonville Jaguars Deep Dive
Ahead of their visit to London in October, we are taking a deeper look into the Jacksonville Jaguars ahead of their game against the LA Rams at Wembley.
NFL Fans from across the world are going to be counting down the days until it once again takes London by storm when several franchises make the trip to the United Kingdom for regular-season matches. The Jacksonville Jaguars will again travel to the English capital for the NFL London Games next month.
The Jaguars’ opponents are yet to be announced, but they’re guaranteed to be thrilling with the Jaguars boasting an unbelievable roster.
Travis Hunter is certainly one of the players to look out for in the Jaguars team. He joined them after being picked in the first round of the 2025 draft, and he has come into this season as the most decorated player in a single season in college football history. In 2024, he won a number of highly prestigious awards, including the Heisman Trophy, the Bednarik Award, the Walter Camp Award, the Biletnikoff Award, and the Hornung Award.
The Heisman Trophy is among the most prestigious, awarded to the best player in college football.
In the 2024 season, he also set a school record for touchdown receptions after producing 96 receptions for 1,258 yards, as well as achieving as many as 15 touchdowns.
Another player you should certainly look out for in the Jags side is Quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who currently ranks fourth for passing yards (13,815), pass completions (1,288), and touchdown passes (69) in this franchise’s history. He is also one of only four quarterbacks to have an active streak of 50 or more games where at least one pass of 20 or more yards is completed.
So far, as of the time of writing, it is the Rams who have the superior head-to-head record in this fixture – but the Jacksonville Jaguars will be looking to get the better of their Los Angeles counterparts in this particular encounter.
As mentioned previously, this is not the Jaguars’ first visit to London, with them having been there a grand total of 12 times before their latest trip in October. Their previous visits were in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, and most recently in 2024, where they played in two games – losing 16 – 35 to the Chicago Bears before then beating the New England Patriots 16 – 32 at Wembley Stadium.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are unfortunately one of the franchises to have never won the Super Bowl, though they have four division championships, winning the AFC Central (1998, 1999) and the AFC South (2017, 2022) on two occasions each, and they have also made a total of 8 play-off appearances in the NFL so far, doing so in 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2005, 2007, 2017, and most recently in 2022.
It is also interesting to note that the Jaguars became the first expansion team in NFL history to record a .500 or better division record (winning 50% or more of their games), finishing 4–4 in their first season back in 1995.
Excitement is building ahead of the NFL returning to London, with the Jacksonville Jaguars set to face two opponents in October 2026.
