And it is France who has the superior record of 61 victories compared with Ireland’s current total of 37 wins in this fixture. There have also been as many as 7 draws between them overall.

The last time that Ireland beat France competitively was back in the 2024 Guinness Six Nations Championship, where they would go on to win 17 – 38 at the Stade Velodrome in February of that year.
