The nations have met 105 times in all competitions, with France recording 61 victories, Ireland 37 and seven matches ending in a draw.

Recent meetings have added another chapter to the rivalry. France won 42–27 in Dublin in 2025 before recording a 36–14 victory in Paris in 2026. Ireland’s most recent win over France came in Marseille in 2024, when they secured an impressive 38–17 victory.
