Italy is 8th on 79.41 points, having climbed a place thanks to their best-ever Guinness Six Nations performance in 2024. Meanwhile, Ireland is 2^nd with 90.69 points after a second successive Six Nations title win, with only reigning World Champions South Africa above them in 1^st place on 94.54 points.

Overall, in all competitions, Italy and Ireland have come face to face on 37 occasions over the years, with no less than a total of 33 wins for Ireland in comparison to Italy’s 4 as of the time of writing. These two nations have never drawn against each other to date.
