Official Italy v Scotland Hospitality Packages – Guinness Six Nations 2026
A much anticipated contest between Gonzalo Quesada’s Italy and Scotland will be taking place at the 2026 edition of the highly prestigious Guinness Six Nations. The game itself will be taking place on Saturday 7th February 2026, with the match set to get underway at 14:10pm at the iconic and famous Stadio Olimpico in the heart of Rome, the Capital City of Italy.
This game is set to bring with it a simply tremendous atmosphere, with the two nations looking to emerge with that all-important victory. Italy will be looking to get a victory in order to create some fresh momentum, whilst also giving their chances of improving on their finish from the 2025 Championship what would be a very significant boost. It would also be a statement victory against a team that finished higher than them in the most recent Championship.
Current Italy Head Coach Gonzalo Quesada has been in charge of Italy since his appointment back on 1st January 2024, just a few days following the departure of his predecessor Kieran Crowley. Therefore the Argentine will have been in charge for just over two years by the time that the 2026 Six Nations start, and he will look to lead Italy in a successful campaign that sees them claim some statement victories on the way to a higher finish than in 2025.
In Quesada’s first Six Nations Championship in charge in 2024, his team were able to finish in 5th place, having earnt no less than 11 points from their 5 games where they had won two, drawn one, and lost two. Their victories came up against the likes of Scotland, who were emphatically beaten 31 – 29 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, as well as Wales, who were beaten 21 – 24 in a tight and competitive game at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
Their draw came when their game against France ended in what was a 13 – 13 stalemate at the Decathlon Arena. As for the two defeats, these came up against the likes of England (24 – 27) and Ireland (36 – 0).
Then in their most recent Guinness Six Nations Championship Campaign in 2025 Gonzalo Quesada led his Italian team to what was another 5th place finish, where they were unfortunately only able to conjure up one victory in their five matches. This came in a game against Wales at the Stadio Olimpico in the historic capital city of Rome, where Italy were able to come away as deserved 22 – 15 winners.
There were a total of 4 losses for Italy, which were against the likes of Scotland (31 – 19), France (24 – 73), England (47 – 24), and Ireland (17 – 22).
The aforementioned game between Italy and Scotland at the 2025 Six Nations Championship was the most recent competitive encounter between these two nations. Also, the aforementioned 31 – 29 victory for Italy against Scotland at the 2024 Guinness Six Nations Championship was also their most recent victory against their Scottish counterparts.
For their first ever competitive encounter, Italy first met Scotland back on 14th December 1996 at Murrayfield, which saw Scotland come away with a 29 – 22 victory overall in the end. Italy’s first victory came in their next encounter on 24th January 1998, with the Italians winning 25 – 21 in what was a tight and competitive game at the Stadio Comunale di Monigo in the city of Treviso.
Overall, Italy and Scotland have met a grand total of 38 times, and it is currently Scotland with the most wins with 29 compared with 9 for Italy to date.
