Gallagher Premiership Rugby Final Hospitality Package – Twickenham Stadium 2024
The Gallagher Premiership Rugby tournament sees the UK’s most formidable sides compete to lift the coveted trophy.
Formerly known as Aviva Premiership, the Gallagher Premiership Rugby tournament dates back to the 1997/98 season. Newcastle Falcons were the first to win, earning a 20-13 victory against powerhouse club and six-time Champions of England, Bath. Skipper and Scottish international Gary Armstrong lifted the trophy alongside his talented team, which included Tony Underwood, Rob Andrew, Pat Lam, Jonny Wilkinson and our very own Rugby Ambassador Tim Stimpson.
Premiership Rugby has become one of the most-watched domestic League tournaments globally.
The Gallagher Premiership rugby final always lives up to expectations, and this final should be no different. The final for the 2023/24 season is set to take place on Saturday 8th June 2024 at the iconic Twickenham Stadium.
The 2022/23 Premiership Final was played between Saracens and the Sale Sharks. Saracens were victorious in that final, beating the Sale Sharks 35 – 25. Tries for the winners came through Max Malins, Elliot Daly and Ivan Van Zyl with Owen Farrell also contributing 2 conversions and 3 penalties. Meanwhile, Duhan Van der Merwe, Tom Roebuck and Bevan Rodd with the tries with George Ford contributing 2 conversions and 2 penalties.
This victory saw Saracens win their sixth Gallagher Premiership title. Their other five came in: 2010/11, 2014/15, 2015/16, 2017/18 & 2018/19. Victory in the 2023 final was even more satisfying for Saracens after they narrowly lost the 2022 Gallagher Premiership Final 15 – 12 to the Leicester Tigers.
There are 11 teams in the Gallagher Premiership, with 24 matches being played each season. Teams play each other twice home and then away. 4 points are awarded for a win, 2 points are awarded for a draw and 0 points are awarded for a defeat.
However, there are bonus points available if you lose. You get 1 point for losing a match by 7 points or fewer, and you can get an additional point if you score 4 or more tries during a match.
At the end of the season, the top four teams enter a play-off tournament to try and get to the final. The top two teams get home advantage. 1st gets drawn against 4th and 2nd gets the 3rd place team. The winners of these matches get into the final.
The 2023/24 season is set to be enthralling and a rollercoaster for rugby fans as their team challenges for the title. Will Saracens go on to win a second successive Gallagher Premiership title, or will someone else emerge victorious at Twickenham in June 2024?
The Final will be an exciting match that no rugby fan will want to miss.
