Excitement is building ahead of the 2026 Grand National, and there is plenty of entertaining action to come on Ladies Day and on the much anticipated Grand National Day this year.


Horse Racing fans are in for a treat with the number of iconic events set return in 2026, with one in particular, being the upcoming and highly prestigious 2026 Grand National, which is set to take place once again at the historic Aintree Racecourse. The action is set to take place over three days, from Thursday 9th April to Saturday 11th April 2026.

Each day has something memorable about it, but Ladies Day and the highly anticipated Grand National Day are two of the standout days for any racegoer who is heading for the Aintree Grand National on an annual basis.

Here, we are going to be taking a look ahead of both of these particularly special days of action at Aintree, starting with the highly prestigious Ladies’ Day, which is set to take place first on Friday 10th April 2026.

Ladies’ Day is unforgettable each year. It is a social and fashion haven with a vibrant atmosphere. Of course, the annual Style Awards will return in 2026, with the best-dressed getting the limelight, just like the horses, trainers, and jockeys will over the course of this fantastic day.

Over the day, there will be no less than seven races taking place on Ladies Day 2025, which are as follows: The Huyton Asphalt Franny Blennerhassett Memorial Mildmay Novices’ Steeple Chase (1:45pm), The William Hill Handicap Hurdle Race (2:20pm), The Trustatrader Top Novices’ Hurdle Race (2:55pm), The Melling Steeple Chase (3:30pm), The Randox Supporting Prostate Cancer UK Topham Handicap Steeple Chase (4:05pm), The Oddschecker Sefton Novices’ Hurdle Race (4:40pm), and finally the Hallgarten And Novum Wines Handicap Hurdle Race (5:15pm).

There are a plethora of Grade One Races taking place on this particular day, and there is the Topham Handicap Chase, which stands out as a thrilling race that sees horses take on those famous Aintree Grand National fences. The most recent winner of this race in 2025 was Gentleman De Mee, with the Willie Mullins trained horse being ridden to victory in the end by Jockey Mark Walsh.

The most recent winner of the Randox Grand National race saw Nick Rockett, ridden by jockey Patrick Mullins and trained by the iconic Willie Mullins, who was able to come out on top back in 2025 ahead of the previous year’s winner back in 2024, I Am Maximus – also trained by Mullins.

All of the eyes of the world of horse racing will be on the incredible and historic Aintree Racecourse for three days of enthralling action at the 2026 Grand National from Thursday 9th April to Saturday 11th April 2026.
