Wembley Stadium Hospitality Dress Code
Smart casual is the standard expectation in most hospitality areas at Wembley. This means neat, informal attire — think polo shirts, button-ups, blouses, smart jeans/trousers, casual dresses, etc.
Arsenal, who are currently led by their Spanish Head Coach Mikel Arteta, will be coming face to face with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side in the Final of the 2025/26 Carabao Cup. This high-stakes contest will be played under the famous arch at Wembley Stadium in the heart of London on Sunday, 22nd March 2026, with kick-off taking place at 4:30pm.
If the Gunners are able to get the better of City in the 2026 Final, then it would be the third time that they have won this tournament in their illustrious history.
Their maiden triumph in the League Cup, known as the Carabao Cup for sponsorship reasons, came all the way back in the 1986/87 campaign, when they faced Liverpool. Arsenal were able to emerge as 2 – 1 winners at Wembley, thanks to the goals of Charlie Nicholas, who scored a brace after scoring a goal in both halves (30’, 83’). As for the Reds, their only goal came from Ian Rush, who initially gave Liverpool the lead early in the first half (23’).
The second and most recent triumph in the final of this competition came a few years after their first, facing Sheffield Wednesday this time in the 1993 Final. It was to be another 2 – 1 win for the Gunners, whose goals against the Owls came from efforts by the likes of Paul Merson (20’) and Steve Morrow (68’), either side of half time. It was John Harkes who was able to score the only goal for Wednesday on the day, giving his side an initial early lead (8’).
Fast forward to the 2025/26 season, Arsenal’s latest Carabao Cup campaign began against League One’s Port Vale at Vale Park in the third round. In the end, clinical goals from the likes of summer signing Eberechi Eze (8’) and fellow forward Leandro Trossard (86’) confirmed a comfortable and deserved 2 – 0 triumph for Arteta and his team.
The fourth round saw Arsenal come up against Premier League opposition in the form of Fabian Hürzeler’s Brighton at the Emirates Stadium for a game that resulted in another 2 – 0 victory for the Gunners. This time, the goals for the hosts were scored by Ethan Nwaneri (57’) and Bukayo Saka (76’), both of which came in the second half in North London.
Brighton’s fierce rivals, Crystal Palace, were next up in the Quarter Finals, with the two London-based clubs facing each other at the Emirates. It ended in a 1 – 1 draw following an own goal from Palace centre back Maxence Lacroix (80’) and a late equalising goal from Marc Guehi for the Eagles deep in to second half stoppage time (90+5’). It was an 8 – 7 win on penalties for the home side in the end to send the Gunners through to the semi-finals.
The semi-finals take place over two legs, and it was rivals Chelsea who stood in Arsenal’s way of the final at Wembley. The first leg at Stamford Bridge was a 3 – 2 win for the Gunners, who found the back of the net thanks to Ben White (7’), Viktor Gyokeres (49’), and Martin Zubimendi (71’), whilst the Blues got both of their goals through Alejandro Garnacho (57’, 83’).
In the second leg, Arsenal were victorious on the night again, this time winning 1 – 0 thanks to a late winner from former Chelsea player Kai Havertz deep into second half stoppage time (90+7’), which confirmed a 4 – 2 victory on aggregate for Mikel Arteta and his side.
They now face Manchester City, led by Pep Guardiola, in the 2026 Carabao Cup Final, as they look to beat their Premier League title rivals to win the first silverware of the season. The last time they met in the final of this competition was back in 2018, when Arsenal boss Arteta was assistant manager to Guardiola.
