Two London rivals will be going head to head when Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal go head to head with Marco Silva’s Fulham side at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the 2025/26 Premier League season. Victory here for the Gunners would not only see them earn some local bragging rights, but it would also see them take an important step closer to their target of winning this season’s Premier League title.

Arsenal, led by their Spanish Head Coach Mikel Arteta are coming toe to toe with Marco Silva and his Fulham side in what is going to be a London Derby between these two teams at the Emirates Stadium in the 2025/26 Premier League season. Local bragging rights are at stake, as are all three points for the Gunners, who are going to be targeting the title this season, whilst the Cottagers will be looking to be amongst the clubs who are battling for European qualification.
This game will be an occasion that will bring with it a tremendous atmosphere, and the game itself promises to be enthralling and highly competitive. Victory would see Arsenal increase their chances of winning the top flight title at the pinnacle of English football for what would be the fourteenth time in their history.
It was announced in October 2019 that Mikel Arteta would take charge of Arsenal as their permanent Head Coach, succeeding Unai Emery following what was a short interim spell in charge for former club favourite Freddie Ljungberg. After a short while in charge, the Spaniard has since turned the Gunners into regular title challengers once more in the Premier League.
In the 2022/23 season, the North London club were runners-up to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City after finishing on 84 points which saw them lose out on the title that year by a margin of just 5 points in the end.
Then came the 2023/24 Premier League campaign, where Arsenal challenged once more and it was an even closer battle in that season, with the Gunners only losing out on the title by a margin of just 2 points to City again, this time after having earned 89 points to the Cityzens’ 91 overall.
Finally, last season was Mikel Arteta’s 5th full season in charge of the Gunners (2024/25), where Arsenal got 74 points which saw them finish as runners-up in second place once more, this time losing out on 1st place to Arne Slot and his Liverpool side.
Moving on to Fulham, Marco Silva has been in charge of the Cottagers since he succeeded Scott Parker in the hot seat at Craven Cottage back on 1st July 2021 after Parker had left for Bournemouth. Silva got Fulham promoted to the Premier League in his first full season in charge of the West London club in the 2021/22 season after winning the second tier title and earning a total of 90 points after winning 27 of their 46 matches.
They spent the 2024/25 Premier League season mostly in the top half of the table, challenging for European Football until the end of the season, narrowly missing out with an 11th place finish with a points total of 54.
Arsenal were victorious the last time that these two clubs met in the Premier League, with the Gunners facing Fulham in the English Top Flight back on 1st April 2025. They won 2 – 1 thanks to goals from Mikel Merino (37’) and Bukayo Saka (73’), whilst it was Rodrigo Muniz who scored the only goal for the visiting Cottagers side deep into second half stoppage time (90+4’).
Overall, Arsenal and Fulham have met on multiple occasions in all competitions competitively over the years, having gone head to head 65 times so far, with the Gunners having won 43 times compared to just 9 to date for the Cottagers. There has been a total of 13 draws between these two London clubs as of the time of writing.
