The Vitality Stadium Hospitality Dress Code
For hospitality at Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium, the dress code is generally smart casual. That usually means:
-
Men: Collared shirts, smart trousers or chinos, optional blazer; avoid sportswear, ripped jeans, or trainers.
-
Women: Dresses, skirts, smart trousers or blouses; again, avoid casual sportswear.
-
General: No football jerseys, hoodies, or caps.
Hospitality areas aim for a polished but relaxed environment—so you don’t need a suit unless you want to go extra formal.
Bournemouth, who are currently led by their Spanish Head Coach Andoni Iraola, are going to be taking on Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United at the historic Vitality Stadium during the 2025/26 Premier League season. This game is going to be played between the Cherries and the Magpies on the afternoon of Saturday, 20th September 2025.
If victory is indeed secured by Iraola and his side against their North East counterparts, then they will be taking what would be a crucial step closer to them realising their ambitions for the current campaign, which are to secure some European Football for themselves ahead of next season for what would be the very first time in the club’s history.
They are also coming up against Eddie Howe, who, of course, famously managed the Cherries in two spells, from 2008 to 2011, and also for eight years between 2012 and 2020. He was vital in their rise up the football pyramid, and he was indeed responsible for the club’s initial promotion to the Premier League in the 2014/15 season after winning the EFL Championship title.
Bournemouth’s current Head Coach is, of course, the aforementioned Andoni Iraola, who has been in charge of the club ever since he was appointed to take over from Gary O’Neil, with the arrival of the Spaniard being confirmed back on Monday, 19th June 2023. He arrived shortly after his English counterpart had departed.
In what was his first full season in charge of the South Coast Club, the 2023/24 campaign for Bournemouth under the stewardship of their Spanish boss was a success, with the club breaking a record for points in a top flight season with 48 points, which was enough for what was a 12th place finish in the Premier League at the term’s conclusion after 38 games had been played.
Then in the 2024/25 season, his second full top flight campaign in charge of the Cherries, they made history once again for the club, with them breaking their top flight points record again, this time earning a total of no less than 56 points, which was of course enough for a top half finish, with them ending up in 9th place in the end. In the end, they were only 2 places and 9 points away from the European places, which are the top seven places in the league.
One of the standout results for Bournemouth in this particular season was indeed that 2 – 1 Premier League victory against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side at the Vitality Stadium back on the afternoon of Saturday 2nd November 2024. It was to be a 2 – 1 victory for the Cherries against the Cityzens, with Antoine Semenyo (9’) and Evanilson (64’) both scoring for the hosts, whilst it was Josko Gvardiol who scored what was the only goal for City in this game late on in the second half (82’).
Moving on to Newcastle United, their current Head Coach, Eddie Howe, has been in charge ever since he took charge following the departure of his predecessor, Steve Bruce, in the dugout at the famous St. James’s Park back on Monday, 8th November 2021. They have been going from strength to strength since then.
Over the course of his tenure to date, they have qualified for the highly prestigious UEFA Champions League on two occasions. The first was in the 2022/23 campaign where they finished up in 4th place with as many as 71 points to their name, and after failing to qualify in the 2023/24 campaign, they secured their return to the competition in the 2024/25 Premier League season when they finished in 5th place with 66 points to their name. They had secured a place in the Champions League on goal difference alone, ahead of Aston Villa in 6th.
Last season also saw Eddie Howe lead the Magpies to the clubs first piece of major silverware in as many as 56 years when they won the 2025 Carabao Cup Final against Liverpool, beating the Reds 2 – 1 at Wembley Stadium thanks to the goals from the likes of Dan Burn (45’) and Alexander Isak (52’). It was Federico Chiesa who was the scorer of the only goal of the game for the Reds, with Arne Slot’s side scoring to halve the deficit deep into stoppage time in the second half of that game (90+4’).
The last time that Bournemouth came face to face with Newcastle United in the Premier League was back on Saturday 18th January 2025 at St. James’s Park, where the Cherries were to come out on top as emphatic and comfortable 4 – 1 winners thanks to the goals from the likes of Justin Kluivert (6’, 44’, 90+2’), who scored a hat-trick, and Milos Kerkez, who found the back of the Newcastle net very late on into the stoppage time in the second half (90+6’).
Overall, Bournemouth and Newcastle United have met competitively in all competitions on no less than 21 occasions, and they have both got 7 wins against each other in this fixture so far, whilst there have also been a total of 7 draws between these two clubs to date, as of the time of writing.
