Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth are set to take on a Spurs side who are currently led by their Danish Head Coach Thomas Frank at the historic Vitality Stadium during the 2025/26 Premier League season. This game is scheduled to take place on the South Coast on the evening of Wednesday, 7th January 2026. If Bournemouth do get that victory, they will not only be making a statement to the rest of the league, but they will be taking a step closer to realising their ambitions for the current campaign, which are to secure qualification for European Football for the first time in their history, which can be achieved with a top seven finish.

The Vitality Stadium Hospitality Dress Code
For hospitality at Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium, the dress code is generally smart casual. That usually means:
-
Men: Collared shirts, smart trousers or chinos, optional blazer; avoid sportswear, ripped jeans, or trainers.
-
Women: Dresses, skirts, smart trousers or blouses; again, avoid casual sportswear.
-
General: No football jerseys, hoodies, or caps.
Hospitality areas aim for a polished but relaxed environment—so you don’t need a suit unless you want to go extra formal.
Bournemouth, who are currently led by their Spanish Head Coach Andoni Iraola, are going to be taking on Thomas Frank’s Spurs side at the historic Vitality Stadium during the 2025/26 Premier League season. This game is scheduled to take place on the South Coast on the evening of Wednesday, 7th January 2026.
Suppose the Cherries are indeed able to secure all three vital points against the Lilywhites. In that case, they will be able to take a step closer to them realising their ambitions for the current campaign, which are to secure a place in a European Competition for the first time in the club’s incredible history. They will qualify for Europe if they finish in the top seven places in the Premier League table this season.
The current Head Coach of AFC Bournemouth is, of course, the aforementioned Andoni Iraola, who took over at this club back on Monday, 19th June 2023, where he replaced his English predecessor, Gary O’Neil, in the dugout at the Vitality Stadium. The 2025/26 campaign will be his third full season in charge of the Cherries.
Going back to his first full season in charge, the 2023/24 season saw his side end up making some history after accumulating a great total of 48 points, which was indeed enough for a respectable 12th place finish. This was the highest points total that they had achieved as a club in the English Top Flight up to that point.
Then came the 2024/25 campaign – Iraola’s second full season in charge of the South Coast side for the Cherries. It was an even better year for his side, with them making even more new history in the English Top Flight for the club. They were battling for European Football via the top seven in the Premier League, and whilst they did miss out, they did still manage to finish as high as 9th place with a total of no less than 56 points, which was only 9 adrift of European Qualification. This was also enough for another record points total for the English Top Flight for Bournemouth.
Throughout last season, they achieved several significant results, including a standout performance against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday, 2nd November 2024. It was, in the end, a 2 – 1 victory for the home side against a side who were, at the time, the reigning league champions. The goals for Bournemouth on that day came via the efforts of the likes of Antoine Semenyo (9’) and Evanilson (64’). Meanwhile, there was a goal that turned out to be the only one that the visiting Cityzens would score, from their Croatian defender Josko Gvardiol late on in this game in what was the second half of this game (82’).
Moving to Spurs, their Head Coach Thomas Frank, who is set to go head to head with his Spanish counterpart Andoni Iraola once again. Frank has been in charge since his appointment by the North London Club was confirmed officially back on Thursday, 12th June 2025, when he replaced his Australian predecessor, Ange Postecoglou, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The 2025/26 campaign will be his first full season.
Last season (2024/25) Spurs were able to finish in 17th place with a total of 38 points from their 38 matches in the top flight. They did still taste some glory last season, with them beating fellow English Club Manchester United 1 – 0 in the 2025 UEFA Europa League Final at the San Mames Stadium in the heart of Bilbao, in Spain. The winning goal was scored by their Welsh international forward Brennan Johnson, who scored his goal late on in the first half of this game (42’). They secured a place in the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League as a result of this.
The last time that Bournemouth faced Spurs in the Premier League was back on Sunday, 9th March 2025 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where they drew 2 – 2 in the heart of North London. The Cherries scored their goals thanks to Marcus Tavernier (42’) and Evanilson (65’), while Tottenham scored through Pape Matar Sarr (67’) and a Son Heung-Min penalty (84’).
The Cherries also beat Spurs 1 – 0 earlier on in that campaign on the South Coast back on Thursday, 5th December 2024, thanks to a winning goal that came from their Dutch central defender Dean Huijsen in the early stages of the first half in this game (17’). He has, of course, since made the move to Spanish Giants Real Madrid.
Overall, Bournemouth and Spurs have met competitively in all competitions on no less than 17 occasions, and it is currently the Lilywhites who have 10 wins to their name in this fixture, compared with the 4 that the Cherries have so far. There have also been 3 draws between these two clubs to date, at the time of writing.
