Chelsea are set to welcome rivals Fulham to Stamford Bridge in the 2024/25 Premier League season. With both clubs coming from West London, not only are there points at stake, there are bragging rights up for grabs for the winner of this game. Last season, the Blues finished in 6th place after accumulating a total of 63 points from their 38 matches which saw them secure qualification for the UEFA Europa Conference League after Manchester United won the FA Cup.

It was now former Chelsea Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino who led them to this top six finish last term, however, the Argentine did leave the Blues following the conclusion of the 2023/24 season. Enzo Maresca will be succeeding him at Stamford Bridge after a superb campaign with Leicester City in the Championship.

In the past, Maresca was part of Pep Guardiola’s coaching staff at Manchester City, and then he was appointed as Fox’s Head Coach ahead of the start of last season following Leicester’s relegation from the Premier League the season before. Moving on to Fulham, their Portuguese Head Coach Marco Silva took charge of the Cottagers on 1st July 2021. In his first season in charge, 2021/22, he led them to promotion straight back to the Premier League after winning the Championship title with a total of 90 points, scoring no less than 106 goals across the season.

They have since remained in the Premier League ever since. In the 2022/23 season, they ended up with a 10th place finish with 52 points before going on to finish in 13th after earning 47 points from their 38 matches.

These two rival London clubs have come face to face in a competitive fixture on a total of 91 occasions in all competitions over the years, and it is the Blues who have the superior record of 52 wins compared to the Cottagers’ total of 12. There have been a total of 27 draws between these two teams so far.

Chelsea and Fulham will play at Stamford Bridge in the 2024/25 Premier League season. This game is set to be tense and entertaining, with points and local bragging rights at stake in West London.
