David Moyes is set to lead his Everton team in a game against a Brentford side led by their Irish Head Coach Keith Andrews at the all-new and modern Hill Dickinson Stadium, which is now the new home of the Toffees for generations to come. This game will be taking place during the 2025/26 Premier League season.
Victories will help the Blues realise their ambition to secure a top half finish, or potentially even a top half finish. These are the club’s ambitions for their latest top flight campaign, and all three points here against the Bees would indeed provide them with fresh momentum going into their remaining games.
This will be the first time that there has been a match taking place between Everton and their London counterparts Brentford at the new home of the club, which is the modern Hill Dickinson Stadium, which has a great seating capacity of no less than 52,769 as of the time of writing. There ought to be a great atmosphere for this game, which is set to be enthralling and highly competitive.
The current Head Coach of Everton Football Club is of course David Moyes who is currently enjoying what is his second spell in charge of the Merseyside club 12 years on from the end of his first tenure in charge that lasted more than a decade from 2002 to 2013. He of course left the club in 2013, with him going on to succeed the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson, a fellow Scotsman, at Manchester United.
During his original spell at Everton, there were a great number of memorable players over that decade, including the likes of Tim Cahill, Wayne Rooney, David Unsworth, Thomas Gravesen, Tim Howard, Yakubu, Steven Pienaar, Phil Jagielka, Leighton Baines, as well as many more.
In the more than decade between his two spells at Everton, Moyes managed the likes of Manchester United, Real Sociedad, Sunderland and West Ham United, who he managed twice, and in his second spell with the Hammers he won the 2023 UEFA Conference League title after they were able to beat Italian Serie A side Fiorentina 2 – 1.
It was back on 11th January 2025 that David Moyes decided to agree a return to Everton Football Club as Head Coach, with him succeeding Sean Dyche in the Blues dugout. In his first few months of the deal, he led them from a deep relegation trouble, but he was able to get them to a mid table position in 13th place after earning what was a grand total of 48 points from their 38 games in the English Top Flight.
Moving on to Brentford, their current Head Coach Keith Andrews was promoted from his role as set piece coach with the Bees to succeed former boss Thomas Frank at the club back on 27th June 2025 after the Dane left for fellow London club Tottenham Hotspur, where he succeeded Ange Postecoglou.
The 2024/25 season was spent with the aforementioned Thomas Frank, with the team in the race for European Football throughout the campaign, only to miss out by a margin of 9 points in the end after finishing down in 10th place with 56 points overall.
The most recent competitive game between these two clubs was an encounter in the Premier League back on Wednesday 26th February 2025 away from home for Everton at the Gtech Community Stadium against the Bees. The Toffees drew 1 – 1 with Brentford in the end thanks to the goals from Yoane Wissa (45+4’) and Jake O’Brien (77’) for their respective teams.
Overall, Everton and Brentford have met competitively in all competitions on no less than 26 occasions, and it is the Toffees who have the superior record of 11 victories, whilst the Bees currently have 10 wins to their name in this fixture to date. There have also been 5 draws between these two teams so far, as of the time of writing.
