David Moyes’ Everton is set to go head to head with a Fulham outfit who are led by their Portuguese Head Coach Marco Silva at the modern Hill Dickinson Stadium, the new home of Everton, during the 2025/26 Premier League season. A win would create momentum heading into the remaining games to be played this term.
Getting all three points would also see the Toffees take what would be an important step closer to realising their ambition to finish mid-table, or even in the top half of the league table, once their latest top-flight campaign comes to a close. The atmosphere for this game promises to be electric.
This will be the first time that these two clubs have ever competed against each other in a competitive game in any competition at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, which has a capacity of no less than 52,769. The atmosphere for this game is sure to be incredible, as it is also a crucial game for both teams.
The current manager of Everton Football Club is of course David Moyes, with the Scottish Head Coach at present enjoying his second spell in charge of the Merseyside club, with his original spell in charge having been for just over a decade from 2002 to 2013, which was when he left for Manchester United following a very successful time with the Toffees to become the successor to Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.
Moyes’ original era at the club was notable for featuring a number of great and memorable players, including Tim Cahill, Wayne Rooney, David Unsworth, Thomas Gravesen, Tim Howard, Yakubu, Steven Pienaar, Phil Jagielka, Leighton Baines, and many more.
The Scot finally returned to the Blues after 12 years away from the club, and following spells with the likes of Manchester United, Real Sociedad, Sunderland, and West Ham. He won the 2023 UEFA Conference League title with the latter back in 2023. Moyes was reappointed as Everton boss on 11th January 2025, succeeding Sean Dyche.
The 2025/26 Premier League campaign will be David Moyes’ first full season in charge since his return, and in his first few months in charge, he did manage to lead the club away from relegation and to a very respectable 13th place finish after ending the campaign a total of no less than 23 points above the relegation zone after accumulating a total of no less than 48 points from their 38 games in the top flight in all.
Throughout their most recent full season in the Premier League, the Toffees got some great results, beating the likes of Newcastle United (0 – 1), Fulham (1 – 3), Nottingham Forest (0 – 1), Leicester City (4 – 0), Spurs (3 – 2), Wolves (4 – 0), and finally Crystal Palace (2 – 1).
Moving on to Fulham, their Portuguese Head Coach, Marco Silva, has been in charge of the Cottagers since July 1, 2021, leading them to an immediate promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking by winning the Championship title with no less than 90 points, scoring a total of 106 goals.
They have been in the Premier League ever since, and in their most recent top flight campaign in 2024/25, they came in 11th place in the end with a total of 54 points to their name after 38 games in all. Whilst they were in the battle for Europe for much of the season, they did miss out by a margin of four places and eleven points overall in the end.
The most recent competitive encounter between these two clubs took place in the Premier League at Craven Cottage back on Saturday 10th May 2025. It was a comfortable and deserved 3 – 1 victory for Everton at the end in West London, with the Toffees scoring thanks to goals from the likes of Vitaliy Mykolenko (45+3’), Michael Keane (70’), and Beto (74’) on either side of half time. Fulham’s only goal came from their Mexican forward Raul Jimenez in the early stages of the first half to take what was to be an initial lead.
Overall, Everton and Fulham have met competitively in all competitions on at least 72 occasions. Currently, Everton holds the superior record with 32 wins, while Fulham has achieved 24 wins so far. There have also been a total of 16 draws between these two clubs to date, as of the time of writing.
