Everton v West Ham
Premier League 2025/26
Fixture Date – Saturday 27 September 2025
Kick-off – 3pm
Hill Dickinson Stadium, Merseyside
Current Head Coach David Moyes is set to lead his Everton team into a game against Graham Potter and his West Ham United side in what is going to be an important game for both sides. The game itself is taking place at the new home of the Toffees, the Hill Dickinson Stadium, during the 2025/26 Premier League season. Victory and all three points here against the Hammers would most certainly aid their cause to finish midtable, or potentially finish in the top half.

Everton, led by their Scottish Head Coach David Moyes, is going to come toe to toe with Graham Potter, who is in charge of his former club West Ham United in a game that is going to be played at the Blues’ new home, the Hill Dickinson Stadium, during the 2025/26 Premier League season.
If the Toffees can get all three points against their East London counterparts, then they will have increased their own chances of claiming a mid table place once this season has concluded, but they will feel that they have the chance to find themselves in the top half of the table after all 38 games have been played.
This is the first time that Everton and the Hammers have played against each other at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in the history of the English Football League. It is a stadium with a capacity of no less than 52,769, with the crowd inside for this game set to create an incredible atmosphere. The match itself is expected to be enthralling and highly competitive.
The current Toffees Boss David Moyes is currently in his second spell in the Everton dugout after having initially been in charge of the Merseyside club for no less than 11 years between 2002 and 2013 before he eventually departed for Manchester United, where would go and succeed the legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson. Moyes’ very first era at the club was famous for players like Tim Cahill, Wayne Rooney, David Unsworth, Thomas Gravesen, Tim Howard, Yakubu, Steven Pienaar, and Phil Jagielka, as well as a fellow club favourite in the form of ex-Everton defender Leighton Baines.
Following spells at United, Real Sociedad, Sunderland, and West Ham United, Moyes re-joined Everton as manager back on 11th January 2025, where he succeeded Sean Dyche in the Toffees hot seat. He managed to transform their fortunes last term, guiding them away from relegation and up to a respectable 13th place finish after earning a grand total of 48 points following their 38 matches. There was also a gap of no less than 23 points between them and the relegation zone.
There were a number of memorable results for Everton last season, with some standout wins for them against the likes of Newcastle United (0 – 1), Fulham (1 – 3), Nottingham Forest (0 – 1), Leicester City (4 – 0), Spurs (3 – 2), Wolves (4 – 0), and Crystal Palace (2 – 1).
Moving on to West Ham United, the Hammers Head Coach, Graham Potter has been in charge of the East London club since 9th January 2025 when he succeeded his Spanish counterpart Julen Lopetegui at the club. In his half season in charge so far, Potter led them to a solid 14th place finish with 43 points, and with a gap of 18 points between them and the relegation zone in the end.
The 2025/26 Premier League campaign will be Graham Potter’s first full season in charge of West Ham United.
The most recent competitive encounter between these two clubs took place in the Premier League back on 15th March 2025 at Goodison Park, the former home of the Toffees. It was a 1 – 1 draw, with Jake O’Brien (90+1’) and Tomas Soucek (67’) scoring for their respective sides in this entertaining stalemate on Merseyside.
Overall, Everton and West Ham United have met competitively in all competitions on no less than 153 occasions, and it is the Toffees who have currently the superior record of no less than 75 wins, whereas the Hammers have 45 victories to their name against the Blues so far, as of the time of writing. There have also been 33 draws between these two teams to date.
