Founded in 1879, Fulham Football Club is the oldest professional football club in London. The Cottagers play their home matches at the iconic Craven Cottage, one of the Premier League’s most distinctive and historic stadiums.

Fulham enjoyed another solid Premier League campaign last season, finishing 11th for the second consecutive year. A final-day victory over Newcastle United left them just one point short of qualifying for European football.

One of the club’s biggest success stories was the emergence of academy graduate Josh King, who established himself as a first-team regular with 38 appearances across all competitions. Experienced striker Raúl Jiménez also played an important role, scoring 10 goals despite turning 35 during the campaign.

The biggest change ahead of the new season has come in the dugout, with former Real Madrid defender Álvaro Arbeloa appointed as Fulham’s new head coach. The Spaniard arrives after impressing within Real Madrid’s academy before guiding the club’s first team, earning a reputation for high-intensity pressing, attacking football and developing young players. A two-time UEFA Champions League winner with Real Madrid and FIFA World Cup winner with Spain during his playing career, Arbeloa now begins his first full managerial role in the Premier League.

Fulham will once again compete in the Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup this season as they look to build on recent progress under their new manager.

Arsenal arrive this season as Premier League champions after ending a 22-year wait for the league title in a campaign that will be remembered as one of the most successful in the club’s modern history.

Mikel Arteta’s side finally got their hands on the trophy after several years of near misses, producing the consistency and quality required to finish at the summit of English football.

The title triumph marked Arsenal’s first league title since the famous Invincibles season of 2003/04 and represented the culmination of Arteta’s long-term rebuild at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners came agonisingly close to completing a historic double, reaching the UEFA Champions League final for just the second time in their history. After a thrilling European campaign, Arsenal were ultimately denied by holders Paris Saint-Germain, suffering heartbreak in a penalty shootout after Gabriel skied the Gunners’ final penalty.

There was further disappointment in the domestic cups, with Arsenal finishing runners-up in the Carabao Cup and falling at the quarter-final stage of the FA Cup. However, those setbacks did little to overshadow what was a remarkable season for the North London club.
