Founded in 1879, Fulham Football Club is the oldest professional football club in London. The Cottagers play their home matches at the iconic Craven Cottage, one of the Premier League’s most distinctive and historic stadiums.

Fulham enjoyed another solid Premier League campaign last season, finishing 11th for the second consecutive year. A final-day victory over Newcastle United left them just one point short of qualifying for European football.

One of the club’s biggest success stories was the emergence of academy graduate Josh King, who established himself as a first-team regular with 38 appearances across all competitions. Experienced striker Raúl Jiménez also played an important role, scoring 10 goals despite turning 35 during the campaign.

The biggest change ahead of the new season has come in the dugout, with former Real Madrid defender Álvaro Arbeloa appointed as Fulham’s new head coach. The Spaniard arrives after impressing within Real Madrid’s academy before guiding the club’s first team, earning a reputation for high-intensity pressing, attacking football and developing young players. A two-time UEFA Champions League winner with Real Madrid and FIFA World Cup winner with Spain during his playing career, Arbeloa now begins his first full managerial role in the Premier League.

Fulham will once again compete in the Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup this season as they look to build on recent progress under their new manager.

The visitors will be led by Keith Andrews who is now in his second season at the Gtech Stadium.

Andrews, who made 35 caps for the Republic of Ireland as a player, made an immediate impact after taking over from Thomas Frank at the start of the 2025/26 season.

Brentford missed out on UEFA Conference League qualification on goal difference finishing just below Brighton in 9^th, their joint-highest finish in the club’s history.

The Bees’ talisman last season Thiago netted 25 in all competitions, scoring 22 of those in the Premier League.

Thiago, who was rewarded with a call-up to the 2026 World Cup with Brazil, finished second only behind Erling Haaland in the race for last season’s golden boot.

Brentford will see this season as a huge opportunity to qualify for European football for the first time in their history due to nine other clubs committed to a huge schedule with the inclusion of matches on the continent.

Overall, these two clubs have gone head to head in a competitive fixture in all competitions on a total of 70 occasions, and it is the hosts who have the superior record of 26 victories compared with the Bees’ record of 25 overall. Brentford has drawn with Fulham on 19 occasions to date.
