Fulham, led by their Portuguese Head Coach Marco Silva, is set to welcome a local rival in the form of Oliver Glasner’s Crystal Palace side, with this game set to take place at the iconic and historic Craven Cottage during the 2025/26 Premier League season. Momentum will be important for the Cottagers this season, as they look to secure a win and take a step closer to securing European Football for next season this term.
A return to the European stage is being targeted by Fulham this season, and they will be even more motivated to do so this term after missing out in their most recent top flight campaign. The Cottagers’ most recent journey in Europe took place back in the 2011/12 season, which saw them compete for glory in the prestigious UEFA Europa League.
In order to get to the group stages of that season’s competition alone, the Cottagers had to compete in several qualifying rounds. Before eventually qualifying for the Group Stages, Fulham did manage to get some victories against the likes of NSI Runavik (Faroe Islands, 3 – 0 agg.), Crusaders (Northern Ireland, 7 – 1 agg.), RNK Split (Croatia, 2 – 0 agg.), and finally Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk (Ukraine, 3 – 1 agg).
Then once in the Group Stages, despite their victories against the likes of Denmark’s Odense away from home and Polish outfit Wisla Krakow at Craven Cottage, who were both beaten 2 – 0 and 4 – 1 respectively, they were knocked out thanks to a 3rd place finish overall. Fulham are looking for another opportunity to compete in Europe next season.
Marco Silva’s very first season in charge at the club was in the 2021/22 campaign, where he led the club to the EFL Championship title after they had successfully earned no less than 90 points whilst scoring an incredible 106 goals in total to win the second division title with a 2 point gap between themselves and Bournemouth in second place in the end. They have been in the Premier League ever since.
Last season, 2024/25, the Cottagers were able to compete for European Football frequently last term, only to miss out by 11 points in the end after having to settle for what was an 11th place finish after a total of 54 points were accumulated from their 38 games across the campaign.
Moving on to Crystal Palace, their Austrian Head Coach Oliver Glasner has been in charge at the South London club ever since his appointment back on 19th February 2024, replacing Roy Hodgson as Palace’s Head Coach. He famously led them to their first ever major trophy last season, winning the 2025 FA Cup Final after beating Manchester City 1 – 0 at Wembley Stadium.
In the 2024/25 Premier League table, Crystal Palace finished in 12th place after having accumulated a grand total of 53 points from their 38 matches in the English top flight.
Fulham’s most recent win in a competitive game against Crystal Palace in all competitions was in a Premier League fixture away at Selhurst Park back on 9th November 2025. It was a 2 – 0 win for the Cottagers, who were able to score their goals through efforts from the likes of Emile Smith-Rowe (45+2’) and Harry Wilson (83’) in either half.
Overall, Fulham and Crystal Palace have gone head to head competitively in all competitions on a grand total of no less than 54 occasions, and it is Fulham who have the most wins in this fixture historically with 19 wins for the Cottagers compared with 16 for the Eagles. The Cottagers have been involved in 19 draws with the Eagles so far, as of the time of writing.
