The dress code for hospitality facilities at Anfield Stadium is smart casual to ensure a formal atmosphere.

As Anfield offers elite Liverpool hospitality services, why not look the part? Avid Liverpool FC supporters will be glad to know that they can still deck out in your favourite team’s jerseys; however, you will be expected to maintain formal attire to reflect the sophisticated hospitality suites.

Hospitality guests are not permitted to wear ripped denim or tracksuits. In addition to this, please be aware that if you are arriving at The Beautiful Game, there is a smart casual dress code where trainers, football shirts and tracksuits are not permitted.

Not only are two of English Football’s biggest clubs going head to head, a fierce and long standing rivalry is set to be renewed when Arne Slot’s Liverpool take on an Erik Ten Hag led Manchester United to Anfield in the 2024/25 Premier League season.

Slot’s managerial career has spanned almost 10 years as of the time of writing, and it all began all the way back in 2016 with Cambuur, where he alongside co-manager Sipke Hulshoff, guided them to promotion to the Eredivisie. And, following the conclusion of the 2016/17 season, Slot moved on to AZ Alkmaar.

During his three year spell with AZ, he became the first head coach in the history of the club to accumulate a total as high as 19 points in his first eight Eredivisie matches in charge of this club. In Europe, the furthest he got was the Round of 32 in the UEFA Europa League in the 2019/20 season. He did go on to join Feyenoord as their Head Coach on 15th December 2020.

He went on to spend four years with the Dutch giants before joining Liverpool on 20th May 2024, succeeding Jurgen Klopp. During his time with Feyenoord, he did win some silverware, including the 2022/23 Eredivisie title and the 2023/24 KNVB Cup, where a goal from Igor Paixao secured them a 1 – 0 win in the Final against NEC Nijmegen at the De Kuip Stadium in Rotterdam.

Moving on to Manchester United, Erik Ten Hag was appointed on 21st April 2022, taking charge ahead of the 2022/23 Premier League season. In his inaugural campaign, his Red Devils side finished in third place with a total of 75 points accumulated from their 38 matches, securing them a spot in the following season’s UEFA Champions League.

Last season (2023/24), they ended up with an 8thplace finish after also being knocked out of the UEFA Champions League at the Group Stages. United did still manage to secure qualification for the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League after beating their cross-city rivals Manchester City 2 – 1 in the 2024 FA Cup Final at Wembley.

There have been a number of very memorable matches between Liverpool and Manchester United. One particularly memorable game for a Liverpool fan came back on Sunday 5th March 2023 when the Reds were emphatic 7 – 0 winners against the Red Devils at Anfield. Cody Gakpo (43’, 50’), Darwin Nunez (47’, 75’), Mohamed Salah (66’, 83’), and Roberto Firmino (88’) were the goal scorers for the Reds on that extraordinary day.

These two clubs have gone head to head on 242 occasions in total in all competitions, and it is the Red Devils who have the superior record of 91 victories compared to 81 wins for the Reds. There have also been 70 draws between these two clubs so far, as of the time of writing.
