There have been a number of iconic clashes in all competitions between these two Manchester rivals. One that will come to mind for City fans across the world will be a contest that took place on 23rd October 2011 at Old Trafford. It was a derby humiliation, with the Cityzens winning 6 – 1 thanks to goals from Mario Balotelli (22’, 60’), Sergio Aguero (69’), Edin Dzeko (89’, 90+3’), and David Silva (90+1’).
