After winning more than 20 major trophies across his spells with two giants of European football – FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich – Pep Guardiola was appointed as Manuel Pellegrini’s successor at the Etihad Stadium in February 2016. Arguably the Spaniard’s crowning achievement so far at City is winning the UEFA Champions League against Inter Milan in June 2023.

Erling Haaland led the way for Manchester City and the Premier League last season, scoring 36 goals in his debut season in England, giving him the golden boot. Phil Foden came second in City’s goal scoring charts with 11 goals. Julián Álvarez and Ilkay Gündogan got 9 and 8 goals respectively.
On 21st September 2021, with Nottingham Forest bottom of the EFL Championship table, Steve Cooper was appointed as Reds boss, becoming Chris Hughton’s permanent successor at the City Ground. By the end of the 2021/22 season, Forest had beaten Huddersfield Town 1-0 in the Championship Play-Off Final at Wembley to finally return to the Premier League after more than 20 years away.
In the 2022/23 Premier League season, Steve Cooper led Nottingham Forest to a 16th place finish with 38 points – 4 clear of the bottom three. Summer signing Taiwo Awoniyi was the top goal scorer for the club in the league with 10 goals to his name, and he was closely followed by Brennan Johnson who scored 8 goals. Morgan Gibbs-White and Danilo also got 5 and 3 goals respectively.
Manchester City and Nottingham Forest played against each other in the league for the very first time on 27th December 1899. Overall, the two clubs have met on 102 occasions as of the time of writing. It is the Cityzens with the most wins with 41 as opposed to Forest’s 33. There have been 33 draws between them to date.

Prices for Man City season tickets vary by stand. The South Stand prices start from £180 Level 3 for Under 18’s. Level 3 pricing for 18-21-year-olds starts from £255 and £383 for a level 3 Adult season ticket. An Adult will pay between £615 and £980 depending on Level seating. The Colin Bell Stand ranges between £580 – £1,030 depending on Level seating. Man City currently have an extensive waiting list for their season tickets, with around 120,000 sitting on the waiting list.
