The Old Trafford Stadium Hospitality Dress Code

The dress code at the Old Trafford Stadium does not apply to those who are under the age of 12. Furthermore, the club has the right to refuse entry to any visitors who disobey these rules:

• Strictly no shorts allowed
• No sportswear is allowed
• Smart Jeans are permitted
• No hats or caps are allowed at the stadium
• No tracksuits are allowed

Manchester United, led by Head Coach Michael Carrick, are set to take on Thomas Frank’s Tottenham Hotspur side at the iconic and historic Old Trafford in the heart of the City of Manchester during the 2025/26 Premier League season.

If the Red Devils can emerge victorious in this crucial game against their North London counterparts, then not only would this be a statement victory, but it would also see United take a significant step closer to realising their ambitions for this season, which are to seal a return to European Football ahead of next season with a top seven finish in the English Top Flight this term.

Michael Carrick has been in charge of United since he was appointed as First Team Head Coach until the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, which was confirmed on 13th January 2026. He replaced Ruben Amorim, who departed the club back on 5th January 2026.

Earlier in his coaching career, Carrick did take charge of United on a caretaker basis following the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer back in 2021, with his short spell coming to an end following the appointment of Ralf Rangnick as interim Head Coach in December that year.

Following his departure from Manchester United, Carrick was appointed as the permanent Head Coach of EFL Championship outfit Middlesbrough, which was confirmed back on 24th October 2022 with Boro in a battle against the drop. He managed to guide them away from danger with 16 wins coming in his next 23 games, with the club ending up with a 4th place finish with 75 points before losing out to Coventry City in the semi finals of the play-offs.

He then led them to an 8th place finish come the conclusion of the 2023/24 campaign before departing after finishing 10th in the 2024/25 season.

Moving on to Spurs, their Danish Head Coach has been in charge ever since he succeeded Ange Postecoglou back on Thursday 12th June 2025, a short time after last season had officially concluded.

The 2024/25 season saw Spurs, led by their now-former Head Coach Postecoglou, finish in 17th place with 38 points. United will be seeking revenge after being beaten by Tottenham in the 2025 UEFA Europa League Final in Bilbao, Spain.

Overall, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have met competitively in all competitions on no less than 206 occasions, and it is United who do have the superior record of as many as 96 victories against their North London counterparts to date, whereas Spurs currently have 58 wins against United at the moment. There have also been 52 draws between these two teams so far, as of the time of writing.
