2023 November Meeting: All Runners
We are just a day away from the 2023 November Meeting finally getting underway at Cheltenham Racecourse, and here we take you through all the runners for each race across the three days.
Horse racing fans from around the globe will be converging on the iconic Cheltenham Racecourse in their thousands over the next few days as the 2023 November Meeting finally gets underway. The 2023 meeting will see 19 races take place over three days. The racing will begin on Friday, 17th November, before ending on Sunday, 19th November 2023.
The opening day of the meeting is better known as Countryside Day, and following the gates opening at 10:30am, the racing action is set to get underway with the Lycetts Insurance Brokers Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle. The race seen as the standout on the maiden day of the 2023 November meeting is the Mucking Brilliant Paddy Power Handicap Chase, which takes place at 13:45 on Friday.
Moving on to day two, which is better known as Paddy Power Day, sees no less than 7 races taking place throughout Saturday, starting with the JCB Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle at 12:35. All races promise to be enthralling, but the race on the second day that stands out, in particular, is the Paddy Power Gold Cup Steeplechase that takes place at 14:20.
Finally, the third and final day of the November Meeting will have 6 race races taking place over the course of Sunday, 19th November 2023, starting with the mallardjewellers.com Maiden Hurdle at 13:10. The final race of the 2023 meeting at Cheltenham will be the Turners Open National Hunt Flat Race that gets underway at 16:00 on Sunday afternoon.
The standout race of day three is the Unibet Greatwood Hurdle Race, which, as the penultimate race of the day and of the 2023 November Meeting itself, will begin just before the National Hunt Flat Race at 15:30.
Here, we are now going to go through all of the runners in each of the 19 races taking place at the 2023 November Meeting at Cheltenham, starting with the Lycetts Insurance Brokers Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle, which opens day one on Friday.
Day One (13:10) – Lycetts Insurance Brokers Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle
The maiden race of this year’s meeting at Cheltenham, the Lycetts Insurance Brokers Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle, will see a field of no less than 20 runners go head to head for the win in the 2023 edition of this race.
The 20 horses taking part are as follows: White Rhino, Uncle Bert, Gentle And Kind, Skytastic, Off To A Flyer, Fathom Two, Doughmore Bay, Knockanore, Pinnacle Peak, Prince Zaltar, Takarengo, Arabian King, Skradin, American Sniper, Hauraki Gulf, Whatsupwithyou, Son Of The Somme, High Stakes, Paricolor and Foillan.
Day One (13:45) – Mucking Brilliant Paddy Power Handicap Chase
The race that follows will be one of the most eye-catching of the November Meeting as a whole – the Mucking Brilliant Paddy Power Handicap Chase. For this year’s race, the field will comprise 11 horses.
The 11 runners of the 2023 Mucking Brilliant Paddy Power Handicap Chase will be: Calico, Triple Trade, Ballybreeze, Do Your Job, No Risk Des Flos, Guy, Walk In Clover, Madara, Coastguard Station, Gold Des Bois and Prince Escalus.
Day One (14:20) – SSS Super Alloys Arkle Challenge Trophy Trial Novices’ Chase
We are now at the halfway point of Countryside Day, and the third race to take place on day one of the November Meeting at Cheltenham will be the SSS Super Alloys Arkle Challenge Trophy Trial Novices’ Chase. A field of 4 runners will take to the track for this race on Friday.
The four horses competing for the win will be: JPR One, Mighty Tom, Petit Tonnerre and Homme Public.
Day One (14:55) – Glenfarclas Cross Country Handicap Chase
The third to last race on the opening day will be the Glenfarclas Cross Country Handicap Chase, which takes place at 14:55. For the 2023 running of this race, a field of 13 horses will be vying for the win in this race.
The 13 runners for this year’s race will be: Delta Work, Galvin, Back On The Lash, Diesel D’Allier, Latenightpass, Foxy Jacks, Francky Du Berlais, Musical Slave, Dieu Vivant, Didero Vallis, Volcano, Whatsyourstatus and Debden Bank.
Day One (15:30) – Trustatrader Novices’ Hurdle
The fifth and penultimate race of Countryside Day is the Trustatrader Novices’ Hurdle, which gets underway at 15:30 on Friday afternoon. A field of 8 will take to the track, vying for an all-important victory.
The eight runners that are set to take part are as follows: Captain Teague, Kinbara, The Big Doyen, Sequestered, Minella Missile, Moonovercloon, Wild Side Of Life and Supreme Commander.
Day One (16:05) – Valda Energy Novices’ Handicap Hurdle
The sixth and final race on the opening day of the 2023 November Meeting at Cheltenham will be the Valda Energy Novices’ Handicap Hurdle. The field taking part in this race is sizable, with no less than 18 runners taking part.
The 18 strong field in this race will be: Impose Toi, Caithness, Brook Bay, Downtherefordancin, Tintintin, Showman, Belgoprince, Artistic Endeavour, Donnacha, Barometer, Innatendue, Mac’s Xpress, Seguoiaspirit, Mr Mackay, En Avant, Redbridge Rambler, Kitsilano and Warm In Gorey.
Now that we have gone through all of the runners on Countryside Day, we will look at all the runners taking part in the races on Day Two, better known as Paddy Power Day. We will start with the JCB Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle at 12:35.
Day Two (12:35) – JCB Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle
The 2023 Paddy Power Day will open with the JCB Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle at 12:35. For this year’s race, an 11-strong field will be going head to head for victory in what is set to be a competitive and enthralling race.
The 11 runners taking part in the Juvenile Hurdle at Cheltenham this year will be: An Bradan Feasa, Balboa, Burdett Road, Eagle Prince, Ellerton, Galactic Jack, Gifted Angel, I Still Have Faith, Knight Of Allen, Milan Tino, Seraphic, Soigneux Bell, Annie Agnew, Parish Star and Ragosina.
Day Two (13:10) – Wienerberger Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Chase
The second race of Paddy Power Day will be the Wienerberger Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Chase at 13:10. This year’s Handicap chase will see a field of 20 target a win in this prestigious race.
The 20 runners are: Latitude, Switch Hitter, Chambard, Tea Clipper, Manothepeople, Undersupervision, Grandads Cottage, Coeur Serein, Brampton Belle, Wayfinder, Cap Du Nord, Strictlyadancer, Wick Green, Mole Court, Plenty Of Time, Outside The Door, Hascoeur Clermont, Read To Return, Galon De Vauzelle and Blame The Game.
Day Two (13:45) – From The Horse’s Mouth Podcast Novices’ Chase
The 2023 From The Horse’s Mouth Podcast Novices’ Chase will follow, with the race getting underway at 13:45. For this year’s Novices’ Chase, 6 horses are set to take part in what is the third race of Paddy Power Day.
The six-strong field of runners taking part in the latest running of this particular race will be: Mister Coffey, Weveallbeencaught, Broadway Boy, Good Risk At All, Alaphilippe and Cloudy Flamingo.
Day Two (14:20) – Paddy Power Gold Cup Handicap Chase
The highlight of the second day of the 2023 November Meeting at Cheltenham Racecourse will be the highly prestigious Paddy Power Gold Cup Handicap Chase, which starts at 14:20 on Saturday, 18th November 2023. There will be a field of no less than 14 horses competing with each other for glory in this race.
The 14 runners for the Paddy Power Gold Cup Handicap Chase are as follows: Stage Star, Notlongtillmay, Unexpected Party, The Real Whacker, Il Ridoto, Fugitif, Angels Breath, Harper’s Brook, Easy As That, Torn And Frayed, Whistleinthedark, Final Orders, Authorized Art and Black Gerry.
Day Two (14:55) – Paddy Power Games Handicap Hurdle
The third to last race of Paddy Power Day will be the Paddy Power Games Handicap Hurdle, which will occur at 14:55 on Saturday afternoon. For this year’s edition of the race, a field of 15 will go head to head for the win.
The 15 strong field will be: Buddy One, Placenet, Judicial Law, Shan Blue, Chantry House, Come On Teddy, Dartan, Moka De Vassy, Polish, Noble Birth, Real Steel, The Newest One, Minella Trump, Walking On Glass and Hunting Percival.
Day Two (15:30) – Paddy Power Intermediate Handicap Hurdle
The Paddy Power Games Handicap Hurdle will be Saturday’s sixth and penultimate race. For this year’s race, no less than 9 runners will be taking to the Cheltenham track to compete for the win.
The 9 horses taking part in the Intermediate Handicap Hurdle will be: Springwell Bay, Resplendent Grey, Gyenyame, Londonofficecallin, Wonderful Eagle, Tiger Jet, Rock My Way, Another Choice and Fortunefavorsdbold.
Day Two (16:05) – Karndean Designflooring Mares’ Open National Hunt Flat Race
The race to finish the enthralling racing action for Paddy Power Day will be the 2023 Karndean Designflooring Mares’ Open National Hunt Flat Race. For this race on Saturday, 15 horses will be taking part at Cheltenham.
The 15 runners participating in this year’s Mares’ Open National Hunt Flat Race will be: Larchmont Lass, Baby Kate, Backdoorflush, Betty’s Tiara, Disco Daisy, Easy Peasy, Jeune Belle, Micks Jet, Mill House Creek, Miss Applejack, Sharp Object, Springs A Girl, Sunset Marquesa, Tour Ovalie and World Of Fortunes.
Following the enthralling horse racing action from the opening two days of the 2023 November Meeting at Cheltenham Racecourse, the third and final day of this year’s meeting will be on Sunday, 19th November 2023. Here, we take a look at all of the runners from all 6 races.

The race to open the final day of the 2023 November Meeting will be the mallardjewellers.com Maiden Hurdle at 13:10. The field for this race will be the largest of any race on day three, with no less than 22 runners taking part.
The 22 horses taking to the Cheltenham track for the Maiden Hurdle will be as follows: Ballyvaughan Bay, Cannock Park, Finn Lough, Intense Approach, Kingston Pride, Mikimoto, Morning Soldier, Panjari, Sea Invasion, Shinji, Tedley, Tellherthename, The Kemble Brewery, Ticking Tom Bomb, Tough Approach, Transmission, Walks Like The Man, Zanndabad, Zeeband, Zonda, Dysart Enos and Innatendue.
Day Three (13:45) – cavani.co.uk Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase
The next race on the final day will be the 2023 cavani.co.uk Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase at 13:45. The field for this race will contain 17 horses who will be vying for the win in this prestigious race.
The 17 strong field will be as follows: Good Risk At All, Trelawne, General Medrano, JPR One, Mister Coffey, Walk In Clover, Meetingofthewaters, Crebilly, Elle Perfecta, Inedit Star, Railway Hurricane, Sonigino, Es Perfecto, Ginny’s Destiny, Mr Saxobeat, Rock My Way and Wonderwall.
Day Three (14:20) – Jewson Handicap Chase
We have now reached the halfway stage of the final day of the November Meeting, and the third race to take place on Sunday afternoon will be the Jewson Handicap Chase at 14:20. This year’s race will see 21 horses take part.
The 21 runners that are set to take to the track for this race will be: Guetapan Collonges, City Chief, Your Own Story, Flash Collonges, Galia Des Liteaux, Malina Girl, Captain Cattistock, Cloudy Glen, First Lord De Cuet, Rose Of Arcadia, Royale Pagaille, Bangers And Cash, Dusart, Found On, Truckers Lodge, Wayfinder, Lord Accord, Peaches And Cream, Undersupervision, Slipway and Dom Of Mary.
Day Three (14:55) – Shloer Chase
The fourth race on Sunday will be the Shloer Chase, which takes place at 14:55 on the final day. There will be 6 runners participating in the race this year.
The 6 horses taking part will be: Jonbon, Edwardstone, Nube Negra, Banbridge, Editeur Du Gite and Dancing On My Own.
Day Three (15:30) – Unibet Greatwood Handicap Hurdle
The race that is bound to grab the most attention from all those in attendance at Cheltenham on day three will be the Unibet Greatwood Handicap Hurdle. In the penultimate race on Sunday, 18 horses will be participating.
The 18 strong field for the Greatwood Handicap Hurdle will be: Onlyamatteroftime, Iberico Lord, Nemean Lion, L’Eau Du Sud, Lookaway, Knickerbockerglory, Gin Coco, Luccia, Punctuation, Anyharminasking, Blueking D’Oroux, Afadil, Sonigino, Too Friendly, Go Dante, Benson, Hey Johnny and Swaffham Bulbeck.
Day Three (16:00) – Turners Open National Hunt Flat Race
The final race of not only day three, but of the 2023 November Meeting as a whole will be the Turners open National Hunt Flat Race. 15 horses are set to compete to win the closing race of the prestigious November Meeting at Cheltenham.
The 15 runners taking part in the 2023 Turners Open National Hunt Flat Race will be: Ballysax Hank, Boy From Brazil, Brechin Castle, Chosen Templar, Diamond Dice, Doyen Quest, Fire Flyer, Hazy Glen, Minella Rescue, Moon Chime, Rickety Bridge, Walks Like The Man, Daytona Beach, Linda Moon and Springs A Girl.
