Scotland v France Hospitality Packages – Guinness Six Nations 2026
Scotland, led by their current Head Coach Gregor Townsend, are going to go toe to toe with reigning Six Nations Champions France in the much anticipated 2026 Championship at the historic Murrayfield in the heart of Edinburgh. The game will be taking place on Saturday 7th March 2026, with the game itself getting underway at 14:10 in the afternoon.
This game promises to be enthralling, with this challenging fixture seeing Scotland take on the reigning Champions of the Six Nations – and if Townsend and his team are able to emerge victorious from this game, then this would be a statement result for his team, and one that can provide them with fresh momentum for the remaining games and their competitive matches beyond the 2026 Six Nations themselves as well.
Current Scotland Head Coach Gregor Townsend took charge almost a decade ago in 2017 when he was chosen as the ideal successor to Vern Cotter in the Scottish hot seat. Townsend will be leading his country into their latest Six Nations Championship campaign, where there will be optimism that they can build on a fourth place finish last time out.
This fourth place finish came after they were able to earn a grand total of 11 points after playing their 5 matches, finishing ahead of the likes of Italy and Wales, who finished at the foot of the table in the end. Scotland’s first victory of the 2025 Six Nations Championship was against Italy, who they were able to comfortably beat 31 – 19 in Edinburgh.
The second and final victory for Scotland came against Wales, beating them 35 – 29 in what is a tight and competitive contest at Murrayfield in Round Four of the 2025 Championship.
There were defeats against the likes of Ireland (18 – 32), England (16 – 15), as well as against France themselves, in what was the most recent competitive fixture between these two nations. It was a comfortable 35 – 16 victory for Fabien Galthié’s France in the end at the Stade de France, and Gregor Townsend’s Scotland will be hoping for some revenge with a statement victory at Murrayfield in Edinburgh in the 2026 Guinness Six Nations Championship.
Scotland’s most recent competitive victory against France took place back on 5th August 2023 at the famous Murrayfield Stadium in a warm-up match for the 2023 Rugby World Cup, where the hosts were able to come away with a 25 – 21 victory in the end.
As for their most recent Six Nations victory against France, Scotland was able to beat them 23 – 27 at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, France, back on 26th March 2021 during that year’s Guinness Six Nations Championship.
The first ever competitive encounter between these two teams took place back on 22nd January 1910 at Inverleith, Edinburgh during the 1910 Five Nations Championship. It was a 27 – 0 victory for hosts Scotland on that occasion.
This fixture will bring with it a great atmosphere and a spectacular game to boot at the iconic and historic Murrayfield Stadium during the 2026 Guinness Six Nations. You will be able to enjoy all of the action in luxury and style with Eventmasters.
