The traditional curtain raiser to the domestic rugby season see’s two huge fixtures take place on the same day at Twickenham.
In 2017 we saw last season’s beaten finalists Saracens open up their 2017/18 campaign with a comprehensive 55-24 victory over the woeful Northampton Saints in game 1. Game 2 treated us to another try fest as newly promoted London Irish kick-started their latest Premiership Rugby journey with a 39-29 win over local boys Harlequins.
2018/2019 Season Update
Unfortunately, in 2018/19 we will not be seeing the return of the London Double Header due to the redevelopment of the East Stand at Twickenham.
