The opening game of the weekend will see Andy Farrell’s Ireland take on Argentina in a 20:10 kick-off at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. As for Steve Borthwick’s England, they will be looking to get back to winning ways in their game against the reigning World Champions South Africa at the Allianz Stadium, Twickenham on Saturday 16th November, with this game getting underway at this iconic venue on that afternoon at 17:40.

As for Wales, Warren Gatland and his team will be taking on Australia in their latest fixture of the 2024 Autumn Nations Series as they seek what would be a precious win at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Sunday 17th November at 16:10.

Moving on to Scotland, Head Coach Gregor Townsend will be leading his side into a crucial fixture with Portugal at the historic Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in the famous city of Edinburgh on Saturday 16th November 2024 at 15:10 in the afternoon.

Here, we are going to be taking a look ahead at the action to come this weekend in the 2024 Autumn Nations Series.

Ireland vs. Argentina (Aviva Stadium) – Friday 15th November, 20:10 KO

We will start with the game that will be getting the action on week three of the 2024 Autumn Nations Series underway, which will see Andy Farrell lead his Ireland team into a game against Argentina at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. This game, taking place on the evening of Friday 15th November, will be getting underway in what will be a 20:10 Kick-Off.

So far, Ireland are still looking for their opening win, having suffered a 13 – 23 defeat against the All Blacks in Dublin a week previously. As for Argentina, they will be looking to make it two wins from two after they were able to emerge victorious from their fixture against Italy in Week Two, beating Gonzalo Quesada’s side 18 – 50 at the Stadio Friuli, in Udine, Italy.

These two teams last met in a competitive fixture back on 21st November 2021 in what was a fixture in that year’s edition of the Autumn Internationals. On that occasion, Ireland were able to come away as comfortable and emphatic 53 – 7 winners at the Aviva Stadium.

The last time that Ireland were beaten by Argentina was in the 2015 Rugby World Cup, when their South American counterparts were able to beat them 20 – 43 at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on 18th October 2015.

Overall, the Head to Head record is in favour of Ireland, who have won 13 matches against Argentina out of their 19 competitive encounters to date, compared with a total of 6 for their opponents Argentina.

Scotland vs. Portugal (Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium) – Saturday 16th November, 15:10 KO

Next up, we move on to the Autumn Nations Series fixture between Gregor Townsend’s Scotland and Portugal, who are currently led by their Head Coach Simon Mannix. This game will be taking place at the famous Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh in what will be a 15:10 kick-off on Saturday 16th November 2024.

Scotland were emphatic and very comfortable 57 – 17 winners against Fiji at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in their opening fixture on week one, before losing 15 – 32 to South Africa in Edinburgh. Townsend’s team will be looking to get back to winning ways against Portugal on Saturday afternoon.

The last time that these two teams met in a fixture at this level was in the 2007 Rugby World Cup, when Scotland were emphatic 56 – 10 winners at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard in Saint-Etienne in France on 9th September of that year.

This was their second and most recent encounter, with their only other competitive meeting at this level coming all the way back in 1999 in that year’s Rugby World Cup Qualifiers. On this occasion, Scotland were victorious once again, this time as 85 – 11 winners.

England vs. South Africa (Allianz Stadium, Twickenham) – Saturday 16th November, 17:40 KO

We now move on to what is a standout fixture of the third week of the 2024 Autumn Nations Series, which will see Steve Borthwick’s England take on the reigning Rugby World Champions South Africa, led by their Head Coach Rassie Erasmus, at the Allianz Stadium, Twickenham on Saturday 16th November. The kick-off will be at 17:40 that afternoon.

England will be looking to return themselves to winning ways against the Springboks following defeats against New Zealand and Australia respectively, losing by the tightest of margins on both occasions, being defeated by 22 – 24 and 37 – 42 respectively.

The most recent competitive meeting between the sides ranked 7th and 1st in the Rugby World Rankings at the moment was back on 21st October 2023 in the 2023 Rugby World Cup. It was to be a tight and tense 15 – 16 win for South Africa at the Stade de France.

England’s last win against these opponents was back in the 2021 Autumn Internationals when they were able to emerge as 27 – 26 winners in an incredible game at Twickenham on 20th November of that year.

Wales vs. Australia (Principality Stadium) – Sunday 17th November, 16:10 KO

Another game that we take a look ahead at is the contest between Warren Gatland’s Wales and Joe Schmidt at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on the third week of the 2024 Autumn Nations Series on Sunday 17th November 2024. It will be a 16:10 kick-off in the Welsh Capital between these two teams that afternoon.

Wales are coming into this game off the back of a narrow 19 – 24 defeat against Fiji on the second week of action in the Autumn Internationals at the Principality, and Gatland will want his side to return to winning ways against Australia this weekend.

The most recent competitive contest between these two nations took place in Wales’ 2024 tour of Australia in July 2024, with Wales losing 36 – 28 at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium. The other game in the country saw them defeated 25 – 16 at the Sydney Football Stadium.

Wales’ last victory against their Southern Hemisphere rivals was back in the 2023 edition of the Rugby World Cup, back on 24th September 2023 at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais in Lyon, France. It was on that occasion a 6 – 40 victory for Warren Gatland and Wales.
