The Old Trafford Stadium Hospitality Dress Code

The dress code at the Old Trafford Stadium does not apply to those who are under the age of 12. Furthermore, the club has the right to refuse entry to any visitors who disobey these rules:

• Smart casual clothing
• Strictly no shorts allowed
• No sportswear is allowed
• Smart Jeans are permitted
• No hats or caps are allowed at the stadium
• No tracksuits are allowed

Erik Ten Hag’s Manchester United will welcome Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea to Old Trafford in the 2024/25 Premier League season. These are two of English and European Football’s biggest clubs, with both battling to secure qualification for the UEFA Champions League. A victory for the Red Devils would enhance their chances of doing exactly that.

Ten Hag’s journey to Manchester United began with his first managerial role with Go Ahead Eagles from his native Netherlands in 2012. Following his departure in 2013, he was Head Coach at Bayern Munich II (2013 – 2015), Utrecht (2015 – 2017), and Ajax, with whom he had a trophy-laden five-year spell.

Whilst in Amsterdam, Ten Hag led this team to three Eredivisie titles (2018/19, 2020/21 & 2021/22), two KNVB Cups (2018/19 & 2020/21), as well as one Johan Cruyff Shield back in 2019. Ten Hag’s appointment as the latest Manchester United Head Coach was announced on 21st June 2022.

The 2022/23 season was the Dutchman’s first at the club, where he led the Red Devils to a 3rd place finish after accumulating 75 points from their 38 top-flight matches to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

Last season, 2023/24, the Red Devils finished in 8th place with 60 points, but they were also knocked out of the UEFA Champions League in the Group Stages. However, they did manage to secure qualification for the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League thanks to a 2 – 1 win at Wembley Stadium in the 2024 FA Cup Final.

Alejandro Garnacho (30’) and midfielder Kobbie Mainoo (39’) were the goal scorers for the Red Devils that day, whilst it was Jeremy Doku who scored the only goal for City (87’).

Moving on to Chelsea, Enzo Maresca was appointed as Mauricio Pochettino’s successor at Stamford Bridge following a 6th place finish on 3rd June 2024. Last season, Maresca led Leicester City to an instant return to the Premier League by getting a total of 97 points to win the second-tier title.

These two clubs have gone head to head against each other in all competitions over the years on 195 occasions, and it is United who have the most victories so far with 83, whilst the Blues have 56 as of the time of writing. There have also been 56 draws between these two clubs over the years.
