The dress code at the Old Trafford Stadium does not apply to those who are under the age of 12. Furthermore, the club has the right to refuse entry to any visitors who disobey these rules:

Manchester United and Liverpool share a famous and long-lasting rivalry. They are two of English and world football’s biggest and most successful clubs. They also won the Carabao Cup that season, beating Newcastle 2 – 0 thanks to goals from Casemiro (33’) and Marcus Rashford (39’) at Wembley Stadium.

Last season, United finished 8th with 60 points, but they were also knocked out of the UEFA Champions League at the Group Stages. Moving on to Liverpool, Arne Slot’s appointment as the Reds’ successor to the legendary Jurgen Klopp was announced back in April 2024. Following spells at Cambuur and AZ Alkmaar, he joined Feyenoord, where he won the 2022/23 Eredivisie title and the 2023/24 KNVB Cup – the 14th in the club’s illustrious history.

There have been several famous matches between these two fierce rivals. One particularly positive memory for United fans would have taken place on Sunday, 19th September 2010, when a Dimitar Berbatov hat-trick (42’, 59’, 84’) handed Sir Alex Ferguson’s Red Devils an enthralling and spectacular 3 – 22 win at Old Trafford against their Merseyside rivals. Steven Gerrard scored both of the goals for Roy Hodgson’s visiting Reds side that day (64’ – Penalty, 70’).

These two iconic clubs have met 242 times over the years, and Manchester United has the superior number of wins, with 91, compared to Liverpool’s record of 81 victories in this fixture to date.
