Rory McIlroy’s 2026 is already shaping up to be a full one. Coming off a brilliant 2025 season where he completed the career Grand Slam at The Masters, his schedule this year is already looking busy.
Rory McIlroy Wins First Title of 2026
On Monday, 2nd March, McIlroy teamed up with his dad Gerry, to win the Seminole Pro-Member event in Juno Beach, Florida. The pair shot a nine-under 63 to win the gross division by two shots – a nice way to kick off the year.
Laureus World Sports Awards Nomination
It’s not just on the course where Rory is getting recognition either. He’s been nominated for the Laureus World Comeback of the Year Award, alongside the likes of Luke Littler, Lando Norris, and the Lionesses. The winners are announced in Madrid on 20 April.
Rory McIlroy’s 2026 Confirmed Appearances
McIlroy has confirmed he’ll be teeing it up at three big European events this summer and autumn:
Genesis Scottish Open (July 9-12, The Renaissance Club, East Lothian) – He won here back in 2023 and knows the course well. It also falls the week before The Open, so it fits neatly into his schedule.
Amgen Irish Open (September 10-13, Trump International Golf Links, Doonbeg) – He’s the defending champion after winning at the K Club last year with a closing eagle to get into a play-off. Now the tournament moves to the west coast of Ireland, and Rory will be there.
BMW PGA Championship (September 17-20, Wentworth Club, Surrey, England) – The DP World Tour’s big flagship event. Wentworth is a familiar stop for Rory, and he’ll be looking to add his name to the trophy there.
