Scotland are set to welcome Fiji to Edinburgh as the two teams face off at Murrayfield in the 2024 Autumn Internationals. This will be Gregor Townsend’s first fixture of this year’s autumn internationals, with the game set to get underway at 17:40 on Saturday, November 2nd.

Following Vern Cotter’s departure, current Head Coach Gregor Townsend took charge of the team in May 2017. In the 2018 Guinness Six Nations, he led Scotland to a 25 – 13 victory against England—their first triumph over their rivals since 2010, when they were 15 – 9 winners in March 2008.

At the 2024 Six Nations, Townsend led his team to a 4^th place finish with 2 wins, which came in the form of a 26 – 27 victory against Wales before beating England 30 – 21 a couple of weeks later in Edinburgh.

The most recent game played between Scotland and Fiji came back in the 2022 edition of the Autumn Internationals, and it saw Townsend’s team successfully come away with the win, beating their opponents by a margin of 28 – 12. George Turner, Adam Hastings, Duhan Van der Merwe and Ben White all scored tries, whilst it was Hastings (2) and Blair Kinghorn (2) who scored Scotland’s 4 conversions that day.

Overall, these two nations have met just 8 times in international rugby, with the first ever fixture between them taking place on Tuesday 26^th May 1998, where Fiji were 51 – 26 winners. However, Scotland won the next match between them on 24^th November 2002, with a scoreline of 36 – 22. It is Scotland with the most wins with 6 compared to Fiji’s 2.
