The eyes of boxing fans across the country and the world will be on London when fierce rivals Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn come face to face once again, with the re-match having been officially confirmed. This much anticipated battle will be taking place in the English Capital on Saturday 20th September 2025, just a few months after the original fight that took place in April. Excitement and anticipation are only going to grow as this fight edges ever closer to taking place.

The roots of this rivalry do stretch far into the past, with it coming from the fierce fights competed between their fathers, Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn, back in the 1990s. This rivalry has continued, and both Eubank Jr and Conor Benn will face each other once again in what should also be a fierce contest.

As previously mentioned, these two fought each other for the first time earlier this year, when the two of them went toe to toe at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the heart of North London. The winner of the original fight was won by Chris Eubank Jr, who was able to emerge victorious over Benn thanks to a unanimous decision amongst the judges, with the score of 116 – 112 being in favour of Eubank Jr.

In the re-match between these two rivals, Chris Eubank Jr will be looking to make it two wins in two against this opponent, whilst Benn will be hungry to get revenge by getting the better of Eubank on this occasion.

Interestingly, the first fight between Benn and Eubank Jr earlier this year took place no less than 35 years on from when their fathers fought each other for the very first time back in 1990, and with Eubank Jr’s win, history had repeated itself. This is because his father, Chris Eubank Sr, was able to beat Nigel Benn when they first met in the ring as well. Eubank Sr won via a technical knockout (TKO), rather than by a unanimous decision by the judges.

The most recent bout for both boxers was that fight at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in April 2025.

Over the course of his career to date, Chris Eubank Jr has taken part in as many as 38 fights overall, and he has been able to win 35 of them, with 25 of these triumphs coming via knockout whilst the other 10 were as a result of a unanimous decision by the judges. He is on a good run of form, with him having won his last three fights in a row.

In terms of losses, he has only suffered this fate on 3 occasions, with 1 coming via knockout whilst the other 2 came via unanimous decision.

Moving on to Conor Benn, he has currently taken part in 24 fights in his career so far, and he has won no less than 23 of them – 14 have come as a result of a knockout, whilst 9 have been as a result of a unanimous decision. His only defeat was at the hands of Eubank Jr in April 2025, which ended what was an extraordinary run of 23 wins in a row.
