Spurs Announce 2025/26 Retained List with Yves Bissouma Set to Leave
Tottenham Hotspur have announced their retained list following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, with Yves Bissouma among the most high-profile names to leave North London.
The 51-time Mali-capped international departs after three seasons at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Bissouma joined from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2022 for a rumoured fee of £29.9 million and went on to make 111 appearances for the Lilywhites.
The midfielder only managed to score twice for Spurs, with his strikes coming against Everton and West Ham United during the 2024/25 Premier League season.
Bissouma played a huge part in the club’s UEFA Europa League success after delivering standout performances against Bodo/Glimt in both semi-final legs, before putting together a superb display against Manchester United in the final.
Alongside Bissouma’s departure, there will be a sizeable group of academy players moving on from the club. The Under-21s will see the exit of Pele Arganese-McDermott, Tyrell Ashcroft, Leo Black, Dante Cassanova, Matthew Craig and Calum Logan, all of whom progressed through various age groups at Spurs before today’s announcement.
Matthew Craig, who joined at Under-12 level, progressed through the ranks to make his senior debut against Leeds United on the final day of the 2022/23 Premier League season. His career since has included loan spells at Doncaster Rovers, Barnsley FC, and Mansfield Town. Calum Logan, who joined from Ipswich Town in 2023, also progressed to Under-21 level and spent time on loan at Braintree Town FC.
From the Under-18 group, Jamel Beggs, Samal Bangura and Leon Myrtaj will also depart after the conclusion of their scholarships and contracts, alongside Elijah Upson, who has turned down the offer of a professional deal. All four have been part of the club’s academy pathway from a young age and featured in the Under-17 Premier League Cup-winning squad in 2024/25.
